Problems with Imaginesim KSJC?

Featured Replies

I'm having 2 problems with ImagineSim's nice rendition of KSJC v2 for FSX w AccelMy downtown San Jose office buildings all disappeared, and the default ground textures bleed through and flash when I'm landing.I have show ground shadows and aircraft causes shadows checked in fsx. IS this what's causing the ground texture issue? Not sure about why my buildings disappeared. I still get the group of buildings to the south west of the airport.

I know at one time ground shadows caused problems with their sceneries. They did an update to KSJC earlier in the year, so I'm not sure if it's still a problem. I don't have Accel, so I'd check with them and hope they respond.

They dont have a support forum only a email address and good luck getting a answer or solution. ImagineSim seems more interested in pumping out scenery with no interest in fixing issues in previous sceneries not to mention the additional work one needs to do to get rid of the ImagineSim shimmer that there airports have. Just a few reasons why they will not be seeing any more money from me.As far as your problem with the buildings vanishing, their sceneries remove autogen and such from their airports so there is not much as far as I know that can be done. Not sure about what is the cause of the texture bleed thru but make sure it is layered properly in your scenery layering .... make sure its on top.Jim

I did get a quick response once but no solutionIt's too bad as downtown SJ is a nice little area, and perfect being right under the approach path to the 30's

I to am having the same problem. The sent me the "bumpy taxi fix" I am still having the same problem whereby when I fly from a different airport to KSJC half the airport is under the dirt. This totally sucks!

Did this one ever get resolved. Support sure has no clue. This was a $30 ruination of the classic 30l approach. No downtown buildings. Surely they must have tested it before putting it to market.

I noticed that removing the flatten01.bgl file from the scenery folder made no apparent difference, so I opened afcad_kjsc.bgl in AFX and used Create Flatten Polys to draw a polygon round the whole airfield. I'm not sure what this did but it solved the bleedthrough for me.Bob

Could you upload this to the library here? Thanks

Al Stiff

I meant the AFCAD you made.

Al Stiff

As this is only a very small alteration to ImagineSim's original AFCAD I think it might be a violation of their copyright to upload it to the library. However if you PM me with your e-mail I'll send you a copy.Be quick cos I'm going away this weekend for five weeks.Bob
