June 9, 201114 yr For me after three missed approaches at runway 26 I landed down wind at runway 8, passengers were unhappy, I was assigned visual approach to 8 and I couldn't see anything tell I passing the runway :) Alaa A. June 9, 201114 yr Author Displaced localizer; real weather causing the auto throttle to jump around forcing move to turn off the AT; very short turn to line up passing over the localizer; tail wind becuase I'm pretty sure you are not allowed to bring anything big in the other way. June 9, 201114 yr Now try an approach into MHTG's runway 02 at night with a maximum crosswind component. :( Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you. It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.
