Ok, after six or seven attempts, I finally nailed the 08 approach into Juneau with the MD11....hand flying from about 60 miles out. This hobby is sooo cool!Colin WareSeattle

Bet you can't do that 100+ miles out. Just kidding. Awesome job.

Is that harder than landing in Kai Tak? (I mean a perfect one) :)

For me after three missed approaches at runway 26 I landed down wind at runway 8, passengers were unhappy, I was assigned visual approach to 8 and I couldn't see anything tell I passing the runway :)

You have to do some zig-zagging between the mountainsNow, go and handfly the RNAV Z 13R into KPSP :D (actually, I dont think you'd be allowed to handly this particular procedure)

I do like that one. Have done it a few times in the Leo Maddog. Want to really fly this with the RNP stuff in the NGX.

Displaced localizer; real weather causing the auto throttle to jump around forcing move to turn off the AT; very short turn to line up passing over the localizer; tail wind becuase I'm pretty sure you are not allowed to bring anything big in the other way. For me, it was a challenge.Colin Ware

Now try an approach into MHTG's runway 02 at night with a maximum crosswind component. :(

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.
