I don't think you need to make any additional changes, at least you don't for J41 and MD11. Check if your livery appeared in FS menu.

Hi Greg,Thanks for your quick reply. After executing the file and restarting FSX/PMDG, the B747-400X with RR engines and in BA livery is not listed for me to choose from.HTH.

I had this problem before. Check that the BA entry in the aircraft.cfg file matches the texture file. If it doesn't change it.

Hi, please try to run the installer as an administrator, right click on the file / Properties / Compatibility TAB / tick the box at the bottom labeled Run this program as administrator, it might help

Hi Alaa,Did as you suggested. No difference. Still only offered the standard 747-400 + PW, RR, GE px and freight versions within PMDG 747-400X. Hi Kenny,I am not clear what you mean by 'Check that the BA entry in the aircraft.cfg file matches the texture file.' I have a texture.cfg in SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG747-400\texture.BA directory, but that contains only 'fallback' statements. Could you clarify, please? Cheers, Richard

Only thing I can think is to make sure you check "show all variants" in FSX airplane select.Sorry.

What Kenny meant was to check that the livery is listed in the PMDG_744X Aircraft.cfg.

I can definitely clarify.Once you install the livery, go to the FSX main directory/SimObjects/Airplanes/PMDG747-400/texture.BA and make sure there are 12 files that start with PMDG_744. Then go to back to FSX main directory/SimObjects/Airplanes/SimObjects/Airplanes/PMDG747-400. Open the aircraft.cfg file and make sure that the entry for British Airways matches this: [fltsim.xx] (xx represents the number of the entry installed)title=PMDG747-400 British Airwayssim=B747-400model=RRpanel=VCsound=RRtexture=BAkb_checklists=PMDG747-400_CHECKatc_id_color=0xffffffffatc_id=G-BYGEatc_airline=SPEED BIRDatc_flight_number=758ui_manufacturer=BOEINGui_type=747-400 RRui_variation=British Airwaysui_typerole=747-400ui_createdby=PMDGdescription=Boeing 747-400 with RB-211 engines v 2.0\nPrecision Manuals Development Group\nwww.precisionmanuals.com \nFor use with BOEING 747 by PMDG \nFor Technical Support please visit www.precisionmanuals.com or email [email protected] \nPMDG Developer and Customer Forum available at our website. \nSounds Developed by PMDG \nFSUIPC Commercially Licensed from Pete Downson \nAll Artwork encoded using Digimark Technology \nThank you for supporting PMDG!\nvisual_damage=0atc_heavy=1atc_parking_types=GATE, RAMPLongAntenna=0LongAntenna2=1 Hope this helps.

Gentlemen,Many thanks to you all for your input of expertise. All working wonderfully now. My conclusions, now that the BA livery is working, are: - Run the livery .exe file as 'Run as Administrator' to uninstall the previous install of the livery ('repair' does not repair this problem)- Run the livery .exe file as 'Run as Administrator' to install the livery- Run FSX as Administrator and check the 'Show all variants' box on the aircraft selection panel- Choose your livery!
