But as the NGX releases in this time, would it be possible to get access to the manuals when I buy the NGX in holidays on my notebook (On which FSX isn't installed, which is why I can't install the NGX on it)? I'd love to have something good to read in the holidays, so is there any way I could get the manuals after I've bought the NGX without installing it? I think we will only get the installer file in the download from PMDG which will then install the product and the manuals as well as the other things included.But would it be possible to get the manuals without installing the product? My problem is just that I'll be on holiday when the NGX comes out and so I'd like to have at least the manuals (Both, PMDG and Boeing) to read there. The manuals are built into the installer of the PMDG 737NGX. You will have to install the PMDG 737NGX in order to access the manuals. July 29, 201114 yr Gentlemen... I'm not sure why there seems to be so much misunderstanding here. There is a reason the Boeing Manuals cost so much to buy the printed versions... it's not about cost to produce. It's about royalties and intellectual license to Boeing. Shoot Boeing an email and ask them if you can purchase an FCOM or QRH. You can't. I've tried. With all that said, you have to expect, and understand that downloadable versions of the manuals will also be protected. This isn't because PMDG doesn't want you to have them, it's because Boeing has very likely put some stipulations on their release and availability. I won't lie... I'm very surprised we are getting a PDF version in the first place, and expect that there will be some protections in place on those files. We all know the bad word that is the driving force behind this... piracy. No one is saying anyone in this forum would take any of these manuals and upload them to a torrent, or DL site, after all we are all upstanding citizens. However, Boeing and PMDG can't provide the avenue to make this happen. Stop putting PMDG on the spot. They aren't ignoring this post. I'm sure they've read it. It's likely they don't want open themselves up to criticism for spelling out the obvious, so I'll do it. The reason I'm speaking up is that I'd like to get these manuals with the package and don't want to push the issue to the point that they end up costing money. @emi... install FSX on your laptop, then you can install the NGX... a minimal install does not take up that much space. July 29, 201114 yr I'm very surprised we are getting a PDF version in the first place, and expect that there will be some protections in place on those files. I'm not surprised, because I think every other PMDG Boeing release had the PDF versions of the QRF, AOM and FCOM vol 1+2 with the installer ... and no these files do not have protections on them, so you can print them for yourself if you want to P.L.
