Same here. I eventually had to ride my bike to my friends house to enjoy it. I remember sitting at Meigs Field in the default 737 listening to and watching the rain on the windshield. I also remember being flabbergasted by the awesome noise of engine start in the 737. Of course I was getting no performance so that's all I could do until my sister's new PC for school.

No picture as I don't have a camera on me, but I just had a look through some of my older stuff and noticed I still have a pilots guide for FS 5.0 as well as one for FS 5.1. Surprisingly they're both in pretty good condition. No idea why I've kept them all these years, but hey, still fun to look at. smile.png

Yeah, those are my H20-10 headset. Very comfortable, pretty affordable. No pinching and surprisingly nice p. noise cancelling considering the minimal pressure on the head. They mess my hair up, though...Hiro.gif I've got an adapter for my speaker/mic jack on my PC, but I never use it. I prefer my Fatal1ty headset (better sound).

The FS2000 guide literally taught me VOR navigation. I was around 11 years old at the time (written well, apparently)! If anyone remembers that manual, they remember how interesting it was for a newbie/kid.

Learning to use and getting use to FSX!

Ahh yes.....fond memories indeed. I'll have to get up to the attic one of these days and dig out my FS3 and SubLogic stuff. (smile) Like someone else said....."don't know why I've kept all that stuff." One summer way back when, I drove to the SubLogic building in Champaign, Illinois just to purchase the entire U.S. scenery disks. Well......if you could call it scenery. (smile) As I remember the ground was green and the sky blue.......but I had all the nav-aid stations for the entire U.S. Boy, was I livin high. (smile) Cheers,Steve R.

Speaking about ancient simulators I would add " Microsoft Flight ", already old even before its pre-alpha stage.

I remember the FS2000 guide- even that couldn't teach me to fly a helicopter! I still have the original Flight Unlimited mixed in with all my software along with FS95. I had FS4 but I am not sure where that went. Might have gotten lost in a basement flood at my parents house. The flood also claimed my copy of 'The Jet Age' for FS98! FS2000 sure was a problem child though! Anyone remember doing the FS2000/CFS2 merge to be able to fly FS2000 with the graphical enhancements and more importantly stability of CFS2?!
