Hello Anybody out there with this problem ?? I can recall Tabs saying 4:3 is supported is this not the case now ?? ThanksSimon Ward

I would also like to know this because when FSX is in windowed mode the 2D panel looks horrible.

Should be there:

You will have a choice between standard aspect ratio (4:3) and Widescreen, depending upon your monitor.

Can someone confirm the 2D panel is available natively in 4:3? Editing: It would appear through some other posts that 4:3 is supported and functional... Not a "confirmation" persay, but judging by how some beta users described their experience, it would appear that 4:3 aspect ratios are indeed OK with the 2D panels. Now - if we could only get a throttle view (if only for the fuel cutoff switches), we'd be in good shape!

As I understand it the 4:3 panel is not implemented yet but it coming.

This is a big problem - main 2D screen and all the intrument pull down panels are distorted and require resizing each time they are used. Changing fsx.cfg [Display] to WideViewAspect=False (or removing entry altogether), as advised in Manual makes no difference. Surely lots of people still use 4:3 monitors or Matrox Triplehead 3 x 4:3? PMDG - an early solution would be appreciated as first impressions marred by this problem

Very, very sad to read that! A 4:3 panel is an absolute must for me (besides, those "16:9" screens available have different aspect ratios). As long as there isn't one, this 737 is not for me sad.png (cant' live with VC and 16:9 views only)...

Yes I also full agree, please provide us with a 2d panel whichn is suitable for normal screens and widescreens. This is state of the art to day.Markus

I just looked - I confirm there are only widescreen panels. Sure, widescreen display on 4:3 aspect, BUT THEY ARE DISTORTED! IMHO, if you're going to include them, DO IT PROPERLY. It wasn't an issue for the MD-11. I feel I'm bashing in some of my posts, but you set your own standards very high with previous products, and this one is not as polished as it could have been (and I'm still fired up after having to wait to activate it yesterday). Best regards,Robin.

This probably won't work (but worth a try). I can't test it first as I run 3 wide screen monitors, but you may try re-sizing your panels the way you want them, then save the panel state. This worked on another 3rd Party addon, but i can't remember which one.

Given all this news, I too would like word from PMDG prior to my purchase about the current and future status of 4:3 panel compatibility . I had read that a beta tester was "using 4:3 just fine", but omitted certain details about the panel stretching. Unfortunate. Any words from development? -Greg
