August 5, 201114 yr Dear PMDG team and simmers,Do you have a clue on how to center the elevator after the take-off using the keyboard ? This is necessary to engage the autopilot (CMD A).Best Regards,Adenilson
August 5, 201114 yr Commercial Member Not offhand, but you can turn off "Realistic AP engagement" in the options and it will engage regardless of the position. (you're really flying the plane with no joystick??) Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
August 5, 201114 yr Author Dears,I mean is there any key combination to center the elevator ? Seems that FSX don't have this combination but other developers allow to create this combination thru the developer menu called key assignments.
August 6, 201114 yr Author Yes. I'm using keyboard. I know joystick is much better but I'm using keyboard for years since the first PMDG 737. OK since there is no resolution for a key combination to center elevator before press CMD A button so I'll disable A/P realistic engagement thru PMDG options menu.Adenilson

Adenilson Are you able to land with a keyboard in severe tubulence and 20 knots crosswind? Regards, Harm Swinkels
August 7, 201114 yr Author Heffron,Not on severe turbulence. Just use keyboard with calm weather.Adenilson
August 7, 201114 yr I think you can reset (center) all control surfaces with number 5 button on NUMPAD part of keyboard (num lock off - light extinguished) Lj. Adenilson And yoke is better then joystick ... it adds a lot to the immersion factor
August 7, 201114 yr Dear Prodanovic, I tried NUM5 and also tried to use other key combination to center all flight controls but do not worked. We need to have an elevator center assignment like other developers. But thanks so much. Adenilson
August 7, 201114 yr I was quite sure it works, I'm sorry to hear that. Actually, going to try it right now. Supplement: For some reason numpad 5 reset only ailerons and rudder, but no elevator. But, you can use SYS mode on lower display to see where is your rudder positioned and correct it to neutral. Lj. August 7, 201114 yr B737 NGX .... B = Boeing Why, thank you ever so much for reminding me the 737 is a Boeing, I thought it was a Tupolev. You seemed to be making a blanket statement that a yoke is more immersive than a joystick. That is not the case if you're not flying an aircraft with a sidestick. I only have a yoke and thus don't fly Airbus's etc. Ben Kolbeck
