Gents, When I follow the steps in the tutorial, when opening the "advanced properties", I cannot check the checkbox "Runs as administrator" because it's grayed out.I tried to play with the permission settings, no good. Anyone an idea? Bert Van Bulck

Are you already the administrator?

Are you trying to set the .exe (fsx.exe) or the shortcut? Set the .exe to run as admin. Regards Scott Stephens

Have you tried it on the FSX.exe in the root fsx folder? Cause I don't think it'll work on any shortcuts you have.

Hi. How did you change it in root?Can you confirm I did these steps right?--FSX folder- FSX.exe- fsx Properties- Security- Administrator (my name)- apply- OKIS that correct or I have to do something else? Thank you.

mine is grayed out also. cannot find on root,,,? 

Go to where your fsx is installed  find  the fsx.exe  should be 3/4s  way down or  so , right click on it to open it up  and  than tick  the admin box

yes, i have found it- path- HP ©/ AAASim/fsx   ( I  renamed thr FSX Folder) -in fsx.exe./ properties/compatability- the admin box is grayed. type of file is (application exe)

  all application files in this folder have the admin box grayed in compatability. .
