Hello guys. Today i bought the NGX and installed it on my Win7 64-bit Home Premium PC. German Version. I have a problem with activation. I runned the installation as Admin and started the FSX as Admin. I choosed the PMDG 737 and then a window opened for activation. It was not possible to make entries in this window, every second a new activation windows opens. PMDG Support is informed, but they can´t solve the problem yet. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Hi Miquel, I cannot enter the code. When I start typing in the code it just disappears. Also like you I get lots of activation screens coming up. To my knowledge I do not have a foreign language loaded into Vista either! Hope this problem gets resorted soon :-( Larry

Same here. I had activated my version a while back downloaded the hotfix today, got the above with a nnone foreign win 7 and now I can't even activate again. I reinstalled the product back to my original and still no good I am now going to ask for some kind of compensation because this is ridiculous. Having the plane then having it taken away for you! All I get now is fsx crash everytime on startup! Regards, J

I installed the 737 NGX today on my system (Vista 32 bit, FSX + Acceleration)), which runs perfectly well with many addons including PMDG 747X, PMDG MD11X, PMDG J41. The installation went smooth but when I tried to load the 737 NGX, I faced the same problem with activation. The only way to proceed was to quit FSX through Windows task manager. When I try restarting FSX I can't load any aircraft any more; the picture area remains black! And there is no way to start FSX at all, not even with other aircraft. A real desaster. PMDG. what's going on???Flyfox

If you had quit FSX though Windows Task Manager, your "fsx.cfg" may have become corrupt. Try renaming it to say "fsx.cfg.txt" and then starting FSX. ( if you rename to .txt, you can still easily read it with Notepad)

This seems not to be a minor bug...Product support writes me to start FSX as Admin. Nice advice but doesnt work. Activation is still not possible. If they dont solve the problem within 14 days i want to be my money back. with my system everything is alright...with the ngx activation not. So PMDG: Forget the activation unless you habe solved the problem, plz deliver us a version without activation needed

I have been talking with PMDG with ticket system, they closed my ticket without any solution. I am still having any useless product. (so much for $70). I do not know what to do next.!!. I undestand many people are in the sam boat with me. Tried every that they told me to do like disable sercurity system, activate product using seperate activation ultility (they sent to me) and more......Please anyone have any idea??

I downloaded the product last night, and have the same problem, however where do I find the activation code, I cant recall seeing it during the install, If I can find the code I'll try the solution above, otherwise it's been a very disappointing purchase when I cant even load the aircraft Richard Mawkes

I'm having same trouble. Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, US English, Core i7 CPU 930 @ 2.8GHz, 6GB RAM, always kept up to date with latest MOBO drivers and other windows updates, Norton Security, SSD drive, FSX freshly installed with both SP1 and SP2 (not on C drive which is SSD, but instead on my F hard drive), installed NGX and hotfix issued this past weekend. Same issue described above. I open FSX, begin to configure a flight. After selecting any of the PMDG options for NGX, it asks for an activation code, but after typing just 1-3 characters, what I typed disappears. I end up getting out of the loop by hitting cancel and then IMMEDIATELY hitting OK (must be quick) at the next screen that pops up. At that point, it closes down FSX completely. Please note I am NOT running international (ie non US English) Windows. Steve
