August 17, 201114 yr Before I installed hotfix 3 I had no issues with autolands.Having installed it, I now can't make this work.I setup both FDs and nav radios and am using Fail Op mode. When I capture the localiser I switch to App mode and then select CMD B in addition to CMD A.I get the 'Single Channel' annunciation but no 'Land 3' or any arming of the rollout or flare. Finally at about 200' the autopilot disengages.Am I missing something? Graeme Brown

August 17, 201114 yr Author Yes ti both. Runway selected on FMC and do successfully capture the localiser and then glideslope. Graeme Brown
August 17, 201114 yr Yes ti both. Runway selected on FMC and do successfully capture the localiser and then glideslope.Interesting ! Flare and Rollout do not arm until under 1500 feet so no annunciation until then. If it says Single Channel it sounds like when you press the second autopilot the first one disengages.Very important that both autopilot lights are on. Are both courses the same ? Fred. Frederic Steiner.
August 17, 201114 yr Author Yes both courses are set and agree. Both autopilots remain on even when it says single channel until they disengage prior to touchdown Graeme Brown
August 17, 201114 yr Yes both courses are set and agree. Both autopilots remain on even when it says single channel until they disengage prior to touchdownI would think it's the hotfix so ! I have used no hotfixes yet and am having no problems at all. Fred. Frederic Steiner.
August 17, 201114 yr Author I am landing at Gatwick (26L) I am fairly certain I have landed there before with autoland prior to the fix. Graeme Brown

August 17, 201114 yr Author I just switched to another aircraft British Airways --> Ryanair 738WL and repeated the approach. It worked totally fine including flare and roll out.Perhaps my original aircraft has a corrupt file.I still get 'single channel' when both CMDs are on until I get to about 1500' and then I get the LAND 3 displayed. Is this normal? Graeme Brown

August 17, 201114 yr Yes both courses are set and agree. Both autopilots remain on even when it says single channel until they disengage prior to touchdownNow you mentionend this I saw that happen too now at YBCS some minutes ago. Did my standard flight from YSCH to YBCS rwy15 via BIB and RAINY. Set both nav and course for PF and FO and captured the GS when it became pink. Clicked the other AP so both lights were on and then saw the Single CMD hint. Except that I do not know whether the AP turned itself off as I disabled it for a test of the HGS approach...I don't think 26L at Gatwick is a CAT III strip.FSX is stupid enough not to differentiate between CAT catgories. August 17, 201114 yr I have the UK2000 Scenery for Gatwick. Shows an ILS on 05R and 26L but does not say CAT II or III. However these Pilots did a Full CAT IIIc at Gatwick? Paul Deemer
