August 24, 201114 yr Ok, well I have managed to get my head around the start up and take off procedures and I have done so with a certain amount of self gratification. However, this has been tainted by the continual issue I seem to be having with an alarm that starts sounding shortly after take off. It continues for almost the rest of a flight! There appears to be no warning light anywhere or any sign that there is a problem, just this darn alarm. Now I know it's likely to be finger trouble and I have looked around the forum but to no avail. So, can anyone please help me with this as it's driving me round the bend! Thanks guys... August 24, 201114 yr Is it the altitude alarm for cabin pressurization? The alarm cutoff is in the overhead right around where the pressurization guage is. (Sorry at work, so can't tell you exactly where it is, but it's in that general area) Dylan Charles "The aircraft G-limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular airplane. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no G-limits."
August 24, 201114 yr Try the alarm button on the pressurization panel on the overhead.Bottom right hand side. You need to set your cruise altitude !!! Frederic Steiner.

At least you can keep your left hand on the yoke. Ba-dum-pa Can't believe you didn't "beat" me to that, Frederic. Edited August 24, 201114 yr by IFR7700 Dennis Trawick Screen Shot Forum Rules
August 24, 201114 yr Author Tell 'ya what fellas, there was something I forgot to mention. When I began to look around for a warning sign or something, I noticed that the setting I had put in for the flight altitide and landing altitude (pressurisation panel?) had disappeared and just above the lcd. was a sign saying auto fail. Frederick, I had set my cruise altitude and the height of ther destination airport... I have had this continuous alarm noise and it turned out to be that I had forgotten to close the Equipment Hatch where the GPU is plugged in.And it cannot be closed in flight,so you will have an alarm continuosly. Ahhh, that's interesting Rick. Although I disable all ground connections via the CDU prior to start up, does this not automatically shut the equipment hatch? August 24, 201114 yr Its the pressurization panel. Check the failures section of your CDU. Had it happen to me last night. Brad Cherrington [email protected] CYYC Based
