Crashes and Freezes - Part 3

Hope this helps people out there with problems. I have a fairly 'old' system but it still handles the bird quite well. Please see specs below: OS: Windows Vista 32bit w/SP1Proc: Q6600 oc'd to 3.2 GHz (8*400FSB). Tried pushing it to 3.4 but my memory modules couldn't keep up...Mem: 4GB Corsair (@800MHz)GPU: ATi 4870 oc'dHDD: 2x 1TB WD HDDFSX and addons: FSX w/SP2, REX OD textures, ASE w/SP3, all PMDG birds, LevelD 763, a few from Carenado, lots of scenery from Aerosoft and UK2000, FS DreamTeam, Flighbeam KSFO V2 and registered FSUIPC (v4.7x) Note I do not use GEX or UTX. Also, I haven't installed any of NGX's hotfixes. I'm still running the original candidate and have had no troubles so far. I've had a panel freeze but noticed that it only happened around KSFO as it is a very intensive piece of scenery. I've done a few flights on both VATSIM and IVAO with clients running from within FSX and haven't had any issues ie., freezes or lock ups. I did suffer from stuttering while on approach but that has been ironed out by reducing autogen to 'sparse' and ensuring I have a missed approach fix in the FMC. One other thing to note is that since I'm on a 32bit OS I've had to use increase the amount of memory FSX/or any app can use. NickN's guide recommends using 3072 and going downwards if needed. I've been cheeky and use userincreaseva=4096 without any probs for over a year now! Hope this helps. If any of you need any more info, just holler. Cheers Sumit

Windows Version - W7 64 Ultimate (fully updated)FSX SP2 (no accel)NGX - HF3CPU - i7-2600k running at 4ghz. Temps normal.CPU Cooling - AirSystem Memory - 8gbVideo Card - GTX570 1GB. 280.26Sound Card - SB Audigy SEHard Drive - can't remeber brand, 750GB, 7200rpm I am not getting random or persistant freezes although I can generate one (for which I raised a ticket and allegedly they know the cause) by going to an external view when well out over the ocean, far from any land, then back to the VC and then I get the panel freeze. Change to 2D, back to VC and problem solved. Otherwise no freezes at all:

It's in the sig, not using a hotfix yet.

Umm. From the lack of responses to this thread compared to the Freeze threads/poll. Can one assume there are more freezes than not? Oops have disqualify myself as a no freezer. After 50 or so flights and 3 weeks had a panel freeze landing @ MTOP. Half the panel worked other half didn't, similiar to what others have mentioned. My apologies! I'll go do the freeze poll!
Maybe people with no freezes are just enjoying the plane, not haunting forums and sharing their grief :)
