Crashes and Freezes - Part 3

Featured Replies

This Part is for People who DO NOT Have any Crashes or Freezes. Here is your chance to share your you Hardware and Software Configurations. With such a Wide Range of Hardware and Software specs out there it is beyond the scope of a poll. So will have to do this one manually. Two Simple Requests before you Post. 1) If you want to make any comments in addition to your Specs, then please post your Config at the top and any comments at the bottom. This will make it easier on those that just want to scan through the data looking similarities. 2) You can post additional Specs if you feel I left something important out, and feel it would be revelant. Other than that please try to keep to the format listed below. Maybe someone can set up a poll about that? Overclocked or not when installing, freezes or not...!!!

Change to 2D, back to VC and problem solved. Otherwise no freezes at all:

But as i have mentioned before... i would also recommend mentioning the power supply in use (power output). Freezes with FSX still running in the background can also be caused by limitations in the graphic board power supply especially considering that an overload of the 6pol. PCI circuits are not necessarily forcing the whole system output to drop. Mine: Sharkoon SilentStorm 660W Nico

I run a batch file that stops all windows services & processes not required to run FSX especially the AV protection. I've done this since I bought FS9 to maximize available resources and to prevent CTD's. For example, these two lines stop Kaspersky AV: net stop "Kaspersky Anti-virus 6.0"pskill -t avp.exe I logout and back in again to restart the services.
