JS41 eats Ngx FPS wise

Featured Replies

about 22fps ngx vc. And bout 38 in j41. I tweaked alot of settings for the ngx. It turned out these tweaks boost previous products fps alot. Especially the MD11 which has been uninstalled due to constant ctd. which is fine because thats last gen

Yeah, but 22 FPS is not bad at all for FSX. Do you have any problems with stutters? If not, that should be smooth as silk.

Its the panning that induces stutters while at 22fps. While at 38fps the camera moves smooth as silk while panning. it was said by pmdg fps comparable to md11. Lol if this were true this ngx would be whole different beast.

Funny how wide the spectrum is with performance numbers posted here.I have what would be considered a dumpy computer by todays standards, but I actually get better performance in the NGX than I do in the JS4100. I'm not sure what it is with the JS4100 but it seems to cause a lot of disk thrashing on my rig, while the NGX doesn't do that. As far as FPS go, flying the NGX into JFK in the VC I get a solid 25 to 30 FPS, where as the JS4100 gives me 20 to 25 FPS with all the same settings.Sean Campbell

That comment was made quite some time ago. And they always said that this might change during the time of development. But on my system I get almost the same FPS. With the MD11 in Munich I get about 18FPS and with the 737 15-20.

Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!

Well for me the MD-11 performs better than the NGX and the JS41. The NGX performs slightly worse than the JS41 on my system.

JS41 performs better? Ouch, that's the worst performing plane on my system, especially on engine startup. Hopefully after SP1 it'll be up to MD11 standards which is about as low as I can play with comfortably. *crosses fingers while waiting for the boxed version*

It´s not by much, but on my system the JS41 performs slightly better than the NGX.

I dont think 22 fps is fine, it wasnt fine 3 yrs ago and it isnt fine now. I still think some smoothing out can be done for the ngx. lloyd jones

A constant 22 fps is fine in FSX...if it goes under the 20 mark it´s going to get annoying. And Tamadeez....a link to the comment would be helpful, I would really like to see it myself and it has been said before, PMDG also said that things can change during development....the NGX is far away from the MD-11 in terms of performance, that is for sure.
