September 1, 201114 yr I've had the NGX from day 1 (Aug. 4) and since then I've had the following problem: Sometimes, when loading the NGX at an airport, FSX stops responding, then has a fatal error and CTD. This happens every time at KSFO, at least, for the past three times with the 900WL model. -OR- I'm flying (it never happens at or before takeoff, climbing, descending, landing or after landing, only during cruise) FSX stops responding for anywhere between 5 minutes to a whole hour, then suddenly goes back to normal with no problems. This happens to me multiple times in most every flight, but only happens when using the NGX. I'm running:FSX SP2 onWindows 7 Professional 64-bitXPS 15 L501XIntel Core i5 CPU M 560 @ 2.67GHz 2.67GHz6 GB RAM Any fix? Something wrong with my system? Something wrong with FSX? I don't know, but I'd sure like to. Can anyone help? FS2004 Forever

September 1, 201114 yr Hi Chris,Sorry your first reply was from a 5 year old, do you have anything running in the background, anti virus etc. Seems odd behavoiur. If you are using flightbeam KSFO, have you tried disabling the addon, and loading the 737 at default airport ? October 25, 201114 yr Author Near all my FSX airports are default and I do not have FB SFO. The only virus programs I have is Avast! Free Anti-virus and McAfee, I keep it up to make sure I'm always secure (unintentional rhyme! :D) I also just tried a flight, and it stayed unresponsive for 3 hours before I gave up waiting and exited. I really want to CORRECTLY fly this beautiful bird, so please help me! FS2004 Forever
October 25, 201114 yr It has happened to me plenty of times. Seems that 2.67 GHZ is a bit light for this type of work (I am running 3.17 GHZ) as some on here are running 4.0 and up. For me, and I get the freezes from time to time, I have applied all the PMDG tweaks that are suggested and run Bojates CFG configuration. I have had pretty good results as of late, but freezes tend to come if I am "heavy" on the FMC while on descent. Fact is, it seems that running the NGX renders my system very fragile, I am always waiting for the next freeze or crash.I have recorded 25 flights recently with 5 CTD's or freezes. October 25, 201114 yr Hi Chris! The same crashes happens to me also, from any airport in Italy, after I have installed the HF3 or 4... (don't remember)... I have to uninstall and reinstall the 737 NGX from beginning, without hotfix and now seems to work ... no crashes any more... Artur MunteanuThe secret of life is honesty and fair dealing. October 26, 201114 yr Author I un, then re-installed NGX taking as much care as possible, installed the runtimes, made the correct fsx.CFG corrections and applied appropriate settings for my computer, and I'm so far an hour and a half into a three hour flight and so far no crashes or freezes. So far so good! Hope it keeps working. FS2004 Forever

II guess you now have ran Bojote´s cfg fix? http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html If you had, then it´s good.Have you also applied the UIautomationCore.dll version 6.0.5840.16386 (It should be the 32-bit) (Copy that dll. to your FSX root folder)That file can prevent you from having a black screen when Alt-TAB between Window mode and fullscreen. Also there are HF 4 here on the Forum. The installer have only HF 3 applied. HF4 is an beta for the upcoming SP1./ Leffe Leif A Mikkelsen **********************
October 26, 201114 yr Author I did it! A full flight with no crashes or freezes. I'm so happy! I hope it remains this way forever, and yes, I do have the FSX '******* tweaks'. I don't have the hotfixes or UIAutomationCore.dll, as I have no other problems in fsx (including black screen when switching from windowed to full screen). Thanks guys, you've helped me a lot. November 5, 201114 yr Author Okay - I got the 600/700 expansion (very nice I might add) and the freezes are back! D: Any help here now? I might add that I correctly installed SP1 first. FS2004 Forever
November 5, 201114 yr Just to check, you did install sp1? Youre not using any saved flights or panel states made before installing sp1? Downloaded new liveries since installing? Kenneth Weir My Saitek yoke mod i7 2600k @ 4.7 8GB Gskill CAS7 2x GTX580 SLI Surround + GT520 Accessory Win7x64
November 5, 201114 yr I'm having the same freezes and CTDs Chris discribed since Sp1 installed. It was ok before with HF4 ... Now it's getting on my nerves ___________________________________________________ Rafael Henrique Carelli
November 5, 201114 yr Author I have SP1 installed and I use the 'NGX Long' panel state when I load up the aircraft. I do have only one new livery since SP1 (Southwest 737-700). FS2004 Forever
