September 3, 201114 yr I recently purchased the Pro Flight Yoke system and throttles and have to say, a major step up from the old school X45 (yes they made those at one point) joystick. However, with how my desk is set up I can't use the clamp to secure the yoke as almost everyone else does. Right now I have just the top portion double-sided-taped to my desk however this is very temporary, as it usually comes off after landing :( Does anyone have any suggestion how I can secure this to my desk, without ruining my desk? (No gluing and preferably no screws involved.) Thanks for anyones input! Cameron Caldwell CPL (A) King Air 200 Pilot

HelloWithout using glue or screws your options are limited, maybe this may help I have used it in the past and it sticks well http://www.amazon.co.uk/Velcro-Consumer-90200-Industrial-Strength/dp/B001LNS2XM/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1315070904&sr=8-11 http://www.amazon.co...15070904&sr=8-5
September 3, 201114 yr Author Thanks guys, I appreciate the input :) I'm going to be moving out in a year or two, so I want to be able to take the flight sim stuff with me without having to take the entire desk with me! Plus my dad will freak out if I ruin my desk :P I appreciate the input, both great ideas. Still haven't decided on what I want to do yet... Thanks! Cameron Caldwell CPL (A) King Air 200 Pilot
September 4, 201114 yr Cameron,I went to home depot and bought a 2x2 sheet of plywood. A scrap piece of 1x12. 3" PVC pipe 2' and 2 3" flanges. And then a 2x2 floor mat. Trace the bottom of the yoke out on the 1x12 and then cut it out. Take a sheet of paper put it pn the bottom of the yoke and poke holes into the open screw holes on the bottom. Put the template on the 1x12 and drill the holes in the wood. Take one for the flanges center it on the 1x12 mark the screw holes on the flange and drill them out. Put the 4 1/4 screws in the top and then put the wood to the yoke. Then use the other screws to the bottom of the yoke. Then use nuts and secure the flange to the 1x12. Then do the same thing to the 2x2 . Put the floor mat over the wood and secure the flange. I secured my pedals to the bottom put the PVC pipe in and your done. I know it sounds complicated but it's not. I'll take some pictures tomorrow to show you how easy it is.

September 7, 201114 yr Hi Cameron, Sorry to take so long to get the photos up. I was tied up all weekend. I have both throttles quads secured to my desk but here is the yoke and pedals with the pedestal I built. Excuse the quality it was taken with my phone. I have used this setup for over two years now with no problems Jeff
September 15, 201114 yr Author Thank you Jeff! I apologize for the later response. That quadrant actually looks really professional and I think I might do the same thing :) Thanks! Cameron Caldwell CPL (A) King Air 200 Pilot
