September 6, 201114 yr The Delta Worked. ThanksCould you please explain, what you did with Delta?ThanksMichael
September 6, 201114 yr Author Go to Axis Assignment and move your throttle a little bit.FSUIPC will now try to find the best Delta setting in my case it was about 260. (That means the N1 have an interval at about 0,8 N1)Now i had selected (Below the "Type of action required) Send direct to FSUIPC calibration. And below that (In the drop down menu) Selected the throttle number (For example Throttle_2) Thats it. Remember to remove the throttle assignment in FSX's setup. Patrick - Denmark i7 10900k - GTX1060 (To be upgraded to RTX3080-ti) - 32 GB of RAM - Nvme SSD - 100 mbps internet
September 6, 201114 yr No luck, all axis shows 256.i plugged it in and,out tried to calibrate, deleted all axis in FSX and set them upwith FSUIPC(registered).Followed the tips at the Saitek forums--axis spiking isn`t to kill.Have this trouble for months and now it`s enough.I think there i something wrong with the hardware. Will save my money and buy a CH TQ.Michael
September 6, 201114 yr Its down to dust...not hardware.Mine worked fine for months untill dust got into it. Regards Luke M
September 6, 201114 yr If your about to buy a new one u really should try oil first, and save the money. I wasn't joking, it really works. And it isn't hard to do either. The Saitek throttle quads have 4 screws in the bottom. With those out, the bottom can be removed. Some oil now has to be injected at the point where the 3 wires (for each pot) enter the levers rotation point. Thats where the pots are hidden. It looks like these are open pots, because with some oil it immediately worked well for me. This treatment has no negative influence on the levers range of motion, or current, or whatever, they all calibrate just the same as before but, without spikes! Spikes are caused by little particles coming from the resistor strips, that clog at a certain point. When the, (whats it called collector?) passes that point a spike (sudden increase of voltage) happens. Oil eliminates these particles. I agree that elecrical parts and oil don't go very well together, the resistor strip is made of graphite or some sort of coal, and the base of this likes to soak oil, but hey, like i said my stereo amplifier still works well after a year :) Gerrit
September 6, 201114 yr I tried oil too------still the same.I also reactivated my old CH Yoke a few days before and that is the way to go for me.The CH Yoke(12years old!) works much moother than the Saitek.I have enough from Saitek---back to CH,it`s still the best imho.Michael

Cheers, - jahman.
September 6, 201114 yr That`s want i wanted to hear!I have the Yoke,Pedals and the USB Throttle.I think, the TQ will complete the collection very well.Michael

Could be that the Saitek pots are of inferior quality. Sharp edges on the metal part that damages the resistor strip itself after a while of use and then there's not much oil can do. Gerrit
September 6, 201114 yr For the CH ThrottleQ: To use reversers in FSUIPC, make sure you program a reverse zone (Value = 240) in the CH Control Manager for each lever. If you don't you will go nuts getting the reverse zones to work! Cheers, - jahman.
September 6, 201114 yr That is possible, have trouble with that thing for a long time.I don´t want to spend more time with fiddling around instead of go flying.Michael
September 7, 201114 yr For the CH ThrottleQ: To use reversers in FSUIPC, make sure you program a reverse zone (Value = 240) in the CH Control Manager for each lever. If you don't you will go nuts getting the reverse zones to work! Cheers, - jahman. Thanks for this advice.Would you suggest to use the CH Software for assigning the axis?Michael
September 7, 201114 yr Only use CH Control Manager to set the reverser zone and to calibrate the axis, do the assignments themselves anf any additional calibrations you may need in FSUIPC. If you can, do all your assignments of everything in FSUIPC (except the view pan hat). That way your assignmants change automatically for different aircraft and you will avoid the confusion and debugging of having controls potentially double-assigned in FSX and FSUIPC. Cheers, - jahman.
September 12, 201114 yr Hi Jahman,Probably worth a mention that you can make those setting on the "Throttle Settings" tab in the CM GUI calibration screen once the CM is installed too, and you still avoid the map. Actually, all the controllers can be set up on that back tab, it's called different things for different controllers, but the TQ setting, null zones, response curves, etc. can be set there and will take care of it when there's no map running.Best regards,- BobThe StickWorkshttp://www.stickworks.com
