September 6, 201114 yr Dear all I was am trying to configure reverse and map a few non FSX keys such as my SB4 mic key to my yoke. The saitek SST is driving me nuts ... I can't get to the saitek profiler to recognize my controllers without unplugging / replugging my controls after each start of windows! Not mentioning the Saitek support that needs 1 week to respond with a generic reinstall your driver mail !So I am thinking of using FSUIPC. So two questions to the commumity: (1) Can I map FSX (such as reverse on my axis) and non FSX keys (such as the squawkbox mic key) to my yoke + throttle via FSUIPC.(2) PMDG warns of using FSUIPC with the NGX. Did anyone ran into troubles ? Thanks you all for your help Karim
September 6, 201114 yr (1) i have the "R" button on my Saitek yoke via FSUIPC Button/switches page. Easy done My Yoke is flimmering and the aileron axis frome time to time is making micro stutters in the windows calibration setup so i need to unplug it first and then everything is fine again. SST should not be used /Michael Michael Moe
September 6, 201114 yr I'm using Saitek's software form the day I got my X52. Never had a problem with it. The thing you need to remember is: it works with keyboard commands. If you want a button assigned to something, assign a keyboard shortcut to that function, and then bind the shortcut to a button. Either way, what works for me, may (and won't) work for others. September 6, 201114 yr Karim, PMDG warns that in 'some' instances FSUIPC 'may' cause problems. I use FSUIPC + LINDA ( LUA utility ) to program the X52 Pro for the NGX without any issue.

I have a registered copy of FSUIPC but do not use it to configure my yoke. Since this really doesn't sound like something PMDG can help with maybe you can try the FSUIPC Forums. Edward Smoker Sr.
September 6, 201114 yr I'm using FSUIPC to assign all my axis and variables (also for other aircraft), and it works for me without any problems. Lukas "TIN TIN -=9th Shrek=-" Mathijsen

Did anyone ran into troubles ? Thanks you all for your help Karim First let me say that I've used the SST since 2005 when I had the x52, and now that I have the x52pro, and I've had absolutely no issues. Like Christi said, first assign a keyboard function and then map it to the joystick button. It's that simple. As far as reverse goes, FSUIPC is the perfect option because you can map the reverse on the same throttle axis (helpful if you have an idle detente on your throttle). If you care to do that, then here is a link where I explained it to someone: http://forum.avsim.n...__fromsearch__1 Look at post #22 I have my pitch & roll axes enabled in FSX but calibrated with FSUIPC, and they're spot on with no problems at all. For the throttle axis, I have tried the option I used for the pitch and roll (axis = FSX, calibration = FSUIPC) and it's perfect, I also tried direct assignment of the axis through FSUIPC, and it works perfectly too. In both options, I'm able to assign my reverse axis on the throttle itself (all I have to do is pull back ]the levers all the way. Only downside of both options is: 1): I lose the ability to see hardware throttle position2): My Auto throttle is stuck in the realistic mode (IN HOLD AND ARM MODE) regardless of what option I choose in the PMDG setup/Options menu in the FMC3): When autothrottle is engaged, and I move my throttle lever, it overrides the speed momentarily and then returns to the A/T or FMC commanded speed, and like I mentioned earlier, if the AT is on HOLD and I move my throttle lever, it overrides the speed and remains there until the FMC takes over again. I'm willing to live with these issues because to my understanding, that's how it is in the real thing. Whenever you move the levers, the speed is overridden until you let go of the levers, and they go back to the commanded speed (someone correct me if I'm wrong) If you have a yoke, you can choose one of the throttle axes (if you have, say two quadrants) to the reverse in FSUIPC, and calibrate.
