Who wants a 717 for FSX?

Featured Replies

Haha, no bother, see you then.
I don't mean to bother you, but I've heard that if you get permission from the Chief Pilot and fill out the Garda vetting form that you can stay in the cockpit for the whole flight. Is this true? Would it be okay with you if I tried this?

Everyone has their own tastes. I'm sure there are a bunch who are thinking "Why do we need an L1011?"Personally speaking, I like all of my PMDG planes. I'd rather them NOT do commuter turbo props, but I enjoy the detail of the simulation, so I may purchase the rumored Dash 8 (as I did with the J41).There are reasons for a 717 addon (Boeing plane, it's still in service) and reasons against. In the end we can only present what we want on these forums and hope we get it! (For the record I'd take a L1011 over a Dash 8!)

Me! After looking at the 737 cockpit, the MD-11 is such a beautifully designed cockpit. So simple and clean and consistent. I'd love to have another plane with the MD cockpit and could use a plane along the DC-9 lineage.

I would love to see a 717

of course they do! i was just saying, we have the 737NGX already, why do we need a plane that there's only 156 of, where we've had 5,000NG's out there, 1,500 747s and 200 MD-11 (with many operators). The 717 doesnn't have many operators or units out there. I think the JS41 was kind of a mistake, too obscure.

The last time I flew the pilots were really nice and gave me a tour of the flight deck before push back and then invited me back in after we got to the gate. The crew on that plane was outstanding. im Not Worthy.gif

Woot, I'd love a tour on the 27th >_>
Well the more the merrier, There won't be a spare jump seat for the flight, but a tour before push-back could be arranged... Send me a PM.

Ah well no bother, I was starting to think to myself, "How am I gonna explain to the CP all these requests to visit my cockpit", she's nice but it'd certainly raise some eyebrows...

OK, since this has become a dual-topic thread, I'll give my opinion on both : - YES to a 717, for exactly the same reasons as Timmer's (although Ryan already said the chances were few). - YES too for a tour in Rónán's 330. Do you mind stopping over in Paris? Bruno PS (Rónán) : my english is not so good. Could you please explain the meaning of "stealing a thread"? smile.png PPS (Rónán again): That 330 is really a beauty. Understand Aer Lingus flies both the 200 and 300. Which version is used for flights to the US?

For the record, Niall stole it, not me... wink.png
