September 22, 201114 yr Author I believ so too. But they will probably charge it with hard-core money. CaptainSim is developing 737 classics, still the 100 and 200 version. I hope the will continue up to 500. I know it's for FSX only, but at least we have something to be happy with when we change to FSX. What about those of us that'll skip FSX altogether if Flight turns out to be good? September 22, 201114 yr Of course I'm not talking about everybody, everyone. Since I might be one of those too. FSX is too much for me at the moment. It's better when having something, rather than nothing. Just some of my opinions. September 22, 201114 yr Dillon, I wasn't aware of it before, but it seems you've found the Feelthere 737-100 etc forum, Had a look at it and it does indeed say that they are developing this version for FS9 - albeit with 2D cockpit only. So we do not need to bide our time any more, what we all need to do if we wish to, is go on that forum and state how much we all love new 3D panels and that we wouldn't buy it without. The moderator there is Vic and I have seen your post and his answer on there. I'll continue any discussions about this on there from here on. Ray
September 22, 201114 yr I indeed noticed that too and found it rather weird. Either they made some mistake on Simware's product page, or that shot doesn't belong... EDIT: Ah, I see Ray already found the answer. Mistake on Simware's page it is. Although it's not a real mistake either, since for as far as I understand now, there will be a fully FSX native 737v2, and a new 2D panel for the FS9 version. September 22, 201114 yr This is rather dissapointing. I fly the classic 737s on many occasions and would like to see the Feelthere team release 737v2 fully for FS9. I know i'll most likely buy the 2d and merge it with the upcoming Enigma Simulations 737-300 which looks outstanding. If you have not see that one take a look.
September 22, 201114 yr Cant bring up a subject without some ###### blowing the horn!! IWhy do you feel the need to behave so hostile? I was merely giving an opinion which is my right, on this forum. Les Dillon I have known for years, understands, so why did you bother to be so nasty? Dave Taylor
September 22, 201114 yr Hey guys, if you reall want something, get down there and tell 'em. If you don't ask, you don't get. If you do ask, you might. http://forum.iemit.c...?g=posts&t=6469 Don't just leave it to the few eh? Dave Taylor

If you do ask, you might. http://forum.iemit.c...?g=posts&t=6469 Don't just leave it to the few eh? Thanks Dave as always... Outside of discussing it here we need to more importantly take this to the developer's site. I believe a new CRJ series is in the works as well which is in more need of an update than their 737 series (have you seen the gauge refresh rate in that add-on lately?). I would hate to see that model FSX only as well... Based on past experience with Vic I'm feeling a bit discouraged but you never know unless you try... September 22, 201114 yr Author Les, can you point us in the direction of Wilco's forum? There's no forum I know of. September 23, 201114 yr There's no forum I know of. Wilco points everyone to the Feelthere forum and now it looks like Feelthere is pointing everyone to Wilco. Let the dance begin... Its all becoming a little ridiculous. First, out of nowhere, it was said it's going to be FSX only, and that announcement is supported by screenshots of the plane in FS9............ Then its mentioned that only a 2D panel version may be released for FS9....................... If that's the case, like most other people I'm not going to buy it - the 2D panel of the original was fine, what it needed badly was a VC update along with better 3D model and textures. So none of us that already own the PIC737 are likely to buy just a 2D panel version for FS9. Most people expect a good VC from payware add-on aircraft nowadays. They are going to be competing with the PMDG 737NGX in FSX, so releasing a good FS9 version would go a long way to helping them with sales. Why not follow the successful formula they did with the ERJ v2?

I totally agree... Even if it is just an upgrade to the PIC version, I would buy it as long as it corrected the flaws in the original version. But without a decent VC, what is the point? (Though I will admit that the screenshot does show a 2D panel that is a significant improvement over the original which was basically a pretty crude "cut and paste" job of poor quality photos. I've commented on other threads that the original 737 PIC could have been an excellent product but in my view it was never really "finished." If they could bring it up to current standards, I think there would be a good market for it as there is no other competitor for a 737 Classic in FS9. But in FSX they are competing with Captain Sim's 100-200 series as well as the excellent NG models that are available.
