Ok? Whatever floats your boat. Didn't see too much humor in that post but so be it.

Guys, this is PMDG's "stuff". They can do whatever they want with what belongs to them.I've never said this before but, I honestly can hardly wait for their next gem, whatever that may be.So in that spirit, I felt that a little humor might help right here right now:

P.S. I think the responce from the owner was polite and to the point.

I'm sort of leaning towards fsdfsd17 on this actually.. It makes great theatre, and I like watchin' a forum burn just as much as the next guy, but that kind of stuff is probably best left to private messages. If that doesn't work, then they have the power...Ban them. While in this case it may have been warranted...but how can one expect PMDG to react if someone else finds another error? I know the NGX isn't perfect...and it never will be. That's a fact. But if future bugs/errors pop up in the future, what is our guarantee as paying customers that PMDG will actually strive to rectify/address them? Or will an individual just be cast aside as wannabe-know-it-alls with arguments dismissed? It's just not appropriate to label an individual as a "this guy is just a freak who can find the most obscure fact in the manuals" and deride him, versus someone who can only offer blind praise. Honestly, I feel a real culture of avoidance and snobbery at sometimes in this forum, both from PMDG staff and fellow forum contributors...heck, I think I'm even guilty of it sometimes. But I wish the PMDG staff would just be upfront about things. This thread isn't really the place, but i'll offer an example. Months ago, there was a bit of kerfuffle surrounding how the 737 package would be released. Sure, it was the beginning of the summer and basically everybody was willing to buy any sort of PMDG release complete or not, but it was pretty obvious that some rumblin's were going on both internally at PMDG (getting the NGX up to speed), and a little dissatisfaction from 'future' customers. It was assumed that the NGX package would include most of the 737 variants from the get-go - at least 6/7/8/9 etc. It was a popular opinion that guided forum opinion on the topic for dare I say...at least a year. Did we ever get a response from PMDG as this rumour ran amok and became popular opinion? No. Alas, back to our early summer, we get a criptic "we never said how we were going to release the variants" and it doesn't take a genius to read between the lines in that case...even with computer text. Alas: 8/9 followed by an 6/7 expansion. Bummer? Yes. Deal-breaking? Unfortunately - No. Should PMDG apologize for something they didn't even say? Of course not. Should they feel some responsibility for it? In my opinion yes? And now, a similar criptic "we still have plans to do a Dash 8" response and once again, it doesn't take much to read between the lines on that one. Just tell us the truth. Yes. The truth hurts. But being hit in the face with an iron-boot of deceit and disappointment down the road stings much more. Anyone remember the famed PMDG A320 that was going to happen? That disappeared with no explanation what-so-ever years ago. :( PMDG knows this, and I'm not faulting any of the PMDG group because of that. I know the majority of PMDG have day-jobs/family/and the like. I don't expect them to run some sort of real-time answering service. But your customers have lives/day-jobs too, and it's not fair to them or any others to get caught up in a holier-then-thou attitude. Yes, some may be spoiled children with mommy's credit cards demanding realistic spilled coffee failures, but others may have made just as much as a sacrifice to purchase your product as you made making it. An 80+ dollar investment for a teenager passionate about aviation could be a big step and sacrifice, especially convincing family/friends that sitting in front of a computer spurting loud noises for multiple hours is something beneficial for them. Or an older individual who wishes to bring back a love of aviation they never had the opportunity to nurture in their younger years...that involves a sacrifice as well. This is getting long winded, so i'll shut 'er down now, as I think most should get the point. Just tell us the gosh-darn truths about things. That's all I ask.

http://forum.avsim.n...r-udp-flooding/ This put a smile on my face and made my night (see last post). Self renowned expert: 0 ........ PMDG: 1
It seems i missed the line, which qualified the issue of measurable UDP floodings between all the ad hominen attacks. This wasn't a tone, which would be tolerated in european b2b, consequently not funny.

PMDG should learn how to treat its costumers. its not the first time i've seen that kind of reply from RSR or Tabs.spitting into the plate u are about to eat from is never a good idea.
I think there's more going on behind the scenes than meets the eye in this forum. It's apparent from the reply that PMDG is not overly interested in the FSX multiplayer server because it conflicts with the NGX's design. No skin off my back, I'd rather have the NGX as is than FSX's default multiplayer. The last sentence RSR left says it all. To the OP: Was this thread really necessary? Distasteful, to say the least. What did Geoff do to you? We don't need the na-na na-na boo-boo junk in here.

I think you mean fabled. Not famed.

i would say the lack of manners by some are starting to wear RSR thin and I can totally understand, I would have bit much earlier if it was me. These guys have worked for years so we can have this beauty and whilst not perfect its awesome so people should learn to relax and enjoy there seems to be a few immature and impatient people on this forum

While I agree that publicly embarrassing someone isn't exactly the best thing to do, I totally support RSR with what he did/said. This guy seemed like a jerk, and PMDG tried to tell him they didn't need his "help" in a nice way. If he wants to go bash these wonderful developers because their product is a little quirky, well he deserved a little public humiliation. As for the rest of us, there's no need to keep bringing it up. What's done is done, let's let this topic die. I don't know about you, but I'd rather fly around in a gorgeous 737NG. My point? Let the mods deal with this. It's not our problem, nor our business to keep bringing up. See yall in the skies.

Gents- Lets not misconstrue the major point here: I do not enjoy having to slap someone around in public as was done to Geoff earlier tonight. HOWEVER: when we attempt to resolve an issue quietly in private- and the individual continues to come back here in public pretending to be some expert while painting us in the light of idiots: Sometimes you just have to get Roman... One of you pointed out that there is always more going on than just what you read here... in this case there was a significant amount of very polite and extraordinary tolerant discussion history- and a tremendous amount of really pedantic behavior, grossly inaccurate assumptions and outright offensive behavior taking place behind the scenes... That all subsided- so when the issue returned, I elected to put a forceful end to it. It is through. Enough said.
