I dont have a clue what the cost of flying in Canada is, but I do know in the US it's a heck of a lot cheaper than EU, have you researched it for both countries?

Yeah, actually that is the one i'm targeting but was just asking people here to see if any of them would mention moncton flight college. Thanks man.

I came to Canada from Ireland and trained in a city called guelph in Ontario about ten years ago. Enjoyed it there but not sure of present state of the flight school but one thing is for sure Canada is a great place to train and live. All the best for the future

Sault College, 18,000 for everything up to Multi IFR. you'd have to look at their rules for accepting students from overseas, but definitely one of the best schools in Canada, and one of the cheapest.

Guelph, is no longer an option. It seems the Owner of the airport, passed away recently, and the Owners of the flight school are too old to continue operating. I know this, as Guelph Airport is 2 minutes from where I am.

Hi, I am from the caribbean but I am training in Vancouver, B.C for my CPL license. I am at Sealandair Flight Centre at Boundary Bay Airport,(CZBB). If you want to check them out the website is www.sealandair.ca. They have an all-Diamond fleet and I am currently doing my IFR on the DA42 Twin Star. I recommend them for top-notch canadian training. They also have an aerobatics instructor there too and a Super Decathlon available for that rating. Cheers.

@ bakaman Well, I hope you intend on immigrating or staying in Canada then... I trained at the ex- Montreal Flying Club and found that upon returning to Europe, I had a pile of exams and conversions to take costing me the price of at least two brand new Toyota Prius'. The Canadian license is supposedly ICAO but I found that it is not accepted in many other countries without the appropriate endorsements. The USA will require you to convert your licenses from scratch as well ( that means getting a PPL based on your Canadian CPL) and then taking all the required exams for the FAA CPL, re-doing an IR rating and the ATPL exams. In Europe its much worse, it consists of a battery of 'Frozen-ATPL' exams and a series of flight tests with lengthy IFR and simulator time. In the end, my first job was in Japan but only because I speak Japanese fluently (twas a childhood passion) and the flying environment/regulations are similar to the US. My second job cost me my career since it was flying medevac in the Brazilian Amazon where unfortunately I came down with a nasty tropical bug which cost me my medical and thereby promptly ended my aviation career. Before getting these jobs though, it was a costly uphill battle just to get all the paperwork in order. Now I have three useless ATPL's (FAA, JAA and Canadian) more than 5000 hours and two type ratings but no more career. So I hope that either: 1. You have a backup industry to fall upon if you end up unemployed in the aviation industry.2. You are wealthy.3. You can catch a lucky break and maybe get a flying job in Canada (which would mean breaking through a very protective market.) Best of luck to you. MJ O'Donnell
