December 3, 201114 yr What sim are you using? I have never had it in FS2004. I have, however, always seen it in FSX. December 4, 201114 yr Author Ok, so I just bought the thing, First Impressions:I don't like how the FMC isn't clickable in the VC, but I can live with the 2D. Soundset is amazing, (is there a possible merge of the QW soundset into the CS 757?) Framerates are good, and it feels like it handles well,

December 5, 201114 yr is there a possible merge of the QW soundset into the CS 757?Make a copy of CS757 Sound in SimObjectsAirplanesCS757 (do not know the exact name) and drop there QW's sounds, that sould be more or less enough Bartłomiej Ender
December 5, 201114 yr I'm really sorry about hijacking this thread... but I saw it, and I didn't know quite where else to post.I just got the 757, it's great, if not a little tricky to get used to the slightly different A/P (I'm a bit of a novice...). I'm working it out pretty well, but I'm having a problem/making a mistake that's a total gamebreaker. Every time I begin my descent, the speed, when it should be decreasing to what I set it to, is increasing at max throttle, meaning that it goes into overspeed and eventually overstresses. What am I doing wrong here? Of course, I could handle the speed manually, but the different A/P system is making it difficult for me to know my speed... please help. :(

Hi,I'm a QW novice, but whats your Cost Index? Apparently if your CI is above 80, the plane overspeeds a lot

Well, I've been seeing exactly the same problem. It's a "second version" of sortsd of the problem I described earlier. Ernie should provide some sort of fix for this at some point I think. You'd probably be better off asking it at the QW forums though. December 6, 201114 yr Thanks for the replies, I know there's always peeps willing to help on here, much appreciated. Ahh I really am a novice then!! I've never used FMCs before so I'm gonna give that a go, along with adjusting the CI, and see where it gets me. I'll post again if the problem's still there. :)I did post this on the QW forum, but being a new user, for some reason the runners of it have restricted you to only posting in general discussion. No PMs and I can't post it in the support, which Lars just moved it to :( So I'm a little stuck there.

December 6, 201114 yr One thing I can tell you, no matter what FMC from every different addon plane I have, thay all compute the TD (top of descent) too close. What results (if using VNAV for the descent) is a descent rate that is too high and because of that either the plane is impossible to slow down or it will even speed up.To get around that, I always start the descent about 30nm before the TD and once stabilized, I switch to SPEED mode (290kts) and manual VS (about 1500FPM) initially. I put the "green banana", the trend indicator on the ND on the fix I want and then adjust the speed and VS as needed to keep it there as I get lower.Boeing wings are 'greasy', they love to fly and hate to slow down. The above allows me to take control from the FMC, makes me feel like I am actually flying the plane instead of being a monitor of a 200,000 lb computer, avoids having to use the spoilers (I hate the noise), and gives my passengers a much smoother ride, it's a win, win, win The 'purists' will scream, but it works for me ( actually that method was given to me by a 'real' airline pilot flying for USAir) :-) Jay

December 6, 201114 yr Well I tried it again, thinking it'd work; it didn't. It must be a bug. This time I was climbing and then as soon as switched from knots to mach setting, it did it again. The display's no longer in knots and mach when you switch, but mach on both sides, whatever I've set it to on the actual mach setting, then on the other "fake" one, it's at 0.90. Very frustrating. Can't believe I've spent £40 on something that's now unflyable for me!!
December 7, 201114 yr At the risk of telling you something you dont want to hear, did you read the manual? As I recall you mentioned you arent that familiar with FMC systems, and until you are its easy to make a mistake. Jay
