X-Plane 10

That's just it. It's a non-issue.You're making it an issue.
Exactly. Laminar has stated their intentions, they've specifically asked that plane makers send them bug reports, and given their stellar track record, I think they deserve the benefit of the doubt.Seriously, m_av, stop trolling the forum.

What add-on is broken that you own for XPX?
Well my mu2 is-I was told to wait for an update which i more than willing to do-my dutchess was bunk-till some how Clairvoyantly I was told I should have gone somewhere to find the info-and now it is working.Every freeware scenery update is broken-except St. Thomas and koma-they give an error message but still seem to run-the others crash the sim. My f33a I purchased two weeks ago is still not right and a big purchase-the g1000 is not working at all.Do we do the see no evil, see no evil hear no evil thing or admit there are some problems.I am patient and willing to wait-some may not be...

I refuse to be a guinea pig for Laminar. Perfectly willing to wait till it stablizes around 10.2 or so before I jump in all the way.

Glad my suggested link worked for you, Geof. Apologies it wasn't found in a manner acceptable to you. I have stated why it was found in the manner it was rather than the conventional e-mail method this time around just so you understand what was up.As for the MU-2, this falls under the topic of discussion right here. That said, there's a wonderful update coming out for this aircraft which we hope to release by the end of December. It's a BIG update, and some pics can be seen here: http://forums.x-pilo...dpost__p__23169

I guess I don't understand your statement here, Geof. Everyone is perfectly willing to admit there are problems. Everyone is also willing to be fair and point out that Laminar acknowledges such problems, and is (thankfully) working with everyone to fix such problems. It's admirable in my opinion, but I don't expect everyone to agree!

Pardon me, but I wasn't looking for any acceptance or validation from you.NONE NECESSARY.

It was a form of agreement. I exercise the same practice even with Apple updates, as well as other software. Take it how you want it...I really don't care! cool.png

Do you realize that when FSX came out, most of the payware FS9 aircraft didn't work correctly? Some were months away from repair. Do you think M$ cared?
Most payware developers were invited to beta test FSX. And yes, changes had to be made, which usually ended up being for the better. Some developers weren't exactly thrilled. However, I would say that MS cared, since the third parties were kept up to date.L.Adamson

Hi, Larry,Not to stray too far off topic, but do you recall which changes these were that made it completely necessary to axe compatibility with aircraft? I'm simply curious and wasn't aware of this. I do know the mdl format changed (for the better) in terms of what it could contain, but why was reverse compatibility not preserved? I'm not challenging you. Just truly curious!

Sorry, can't get rid of me that easy. There will be a lot more playing around with the demo till then. Sadly and sometimes painfully, have learnt plenty over the past decade.

An agreement is between two or more parties who jointly agree to something. Your's sounded like a dictate or appears patronizing ?Like I said "NONE NECESSARY" - whether you care or not.

Glad about the updates-but I never really got to try the mu2 out because from day 1 it was broken by new updates. (When I first bought it xplane did not support resolutions as great as my monitor-which had been out for about 3 years-so I had a choose running it in a little window on my monitor or going with progress and trashing it-which I did). Look forward to the update and finally getting to use it...Believe me-I think anyone on this board will attest to my willingness to wait for problems to sort themselves out, to my optimism for flight sims however unperfect-but I have to say-my limits were reached tonight.

What resolution was that, Geof? I guess I've never heard of this before. I didn't know this was ever an issue! Was there just a big black framed area around X-Plane when you ran it or something?

It seemed that running it over 1280x1024 was a revalation!

Weird...was 9 always this way for you? The reason I ask is I have been running 9 on 2560x1440 for quite some time (both Mac and PC).
