April 20, 201214 yr "Wind Direction" Please confirm true or magnetic ? I have in mind that wind is given with True North as reference in all written stuff (METAR) and magnetic in all spoken stuff (ATC) with v1.13c we now have the choice for "Limit Weight to Use" : field/climb/field+climb. What do they use in RW ? is the Minimum TORA Required for Climb Limit Weight a constant or a variable linked to the TOW among many other factors ? what does the message "Reduce 1.000's pounds EW" (located in C37 cell) mean ? reduce the Empty Weight by 1000 lbs ? How can I change the Empty weight ? are you talking about the DOW "Dry Operating weight" ? Thanks to give more information about that ?

April 20, 201214 yr Author 1. The important is use the same heading reference (both in true north or both in magnetic north) because the data is based in diference between headings. 2. In real flights you need use the lesser than field, climb, obstacle & structural limit weights; however if the restriction is by "Climb limit weight" you can adjust (increase) the weight (according tables) by increments in VSpeeds (not includes in sheet). 3. TORA required is calculate according multiple variables like temperature, runway available, winds, runway condition, pressure altitude... (the data shown by interpolation with "Reverse procedure"; reading data of finish to initial step). 4. "Reduce 1.000's pounds EW" means "Reduce the taxi weight in xxx pounds" i won't use the correct terms. Thanks. "Wind Direction" Please confirm true or magnetic ? Sounds really cool! I won't update anymore this file because i'm creating another sheet with performance charts (in this new sheet you need read chart data, and based in this will be available the performance info. THis version is more realistic and it is like the "Manual version" of TOPCAT; is basicly the same function that makes the airliner dispatcher. I will upload this file the following days. See ya! April 20, 201214 yr Israel, I dont mind hosting the current sheet on my webspace. It will just be a simple, permanent link. If you want, send me the final sheet version and I will put it up. I dont think I can keep up with in-development product well, so I will rather leave placement of new tool to you... --Peter Fabian
