January 2, 201214 yr Hello, first all a happy new year and all the best for 2012 !!Ok, how is it possible to use the new Flightmodel of the PMDG NGX with Project Magenta?I want to use this Flightmodel because the flight dynamics are very god and very important for me are the Lights, landing, retracted and so on.Can anybody help me with that?ThanksMatthias i9-9900KF CPU @ 3.60GHz, 32GB Ram,RTX 3090TI,MSFS
January 2, 201214 yr Matthias, I think you will find that the PMDG flight instruments and systems are far better than that of Project Magenta. With the upcoming release of the SDK, it will be possible to use hardware to drive the PMDG software and vice versa. David Zhong New video every Thursday: Aircraft Lighting - Boeing 777

January 2, 201214 yr You really should look at PM website, I beleive they have a statement about this and their forum has numerous topic on it. If there was/ is a break thru it would be there first. Also i don't think the SDK will allow PM to access their bird and features, sure there will be some EULA clause.

January 2, 201214 yr Author Hello,i have read much about a upcomming SDK for the PMDG NGX, but when will it come? What i have to change in the ini files?Matthias i9-9900KF CPU @ 3.60GHz, 32GB Ram,RTX 3090TI,MSFS
January 2, 201214 yr You might find this interesting Matthias !Especially the Ivar Hestnes (HEFF) posts.Ivar is a very accomplished cockpit builder and has years of experience and is always pushing the boundaries.http://forum.avsim.n...-few-questions/Fred. January 19, 201214 yr You can use PMDG 737NGX with Project Magenta and you will get the flight model. You have to edit the panel.cfg like in the past, as well as change a few paramenters to remove the side panel views of the VC cockpit...Using PM software, FDS hardware and FSUIPC all the functions will work, BUT you will not be using the avionics of the PMDG737NGX; you will only have the flight model. The lights are a different story. You can inject A2A Shockwave (SW) coordinates into the aircraft.cfg and it will illuminate the ground slightly, but not like the default manner of FSX. You can add all the positions of the SW lights (landing, taxi, nav, strobes and etc), but you will have to redine the coordinates as they do not match the older PMDG 737 positions. And, with the PMDG737NGX light functions being tied into their coding, it does not allow them (PMDG ones) to be edited. The curious thought would be to add in fx files from FSX default to the PMDG737NGX and see if they'd illuminate the ground.Check in with cockpitbuilders dot com for mor info.
