January 11, 201214 yr "Desktops don't sell anymore, we are a dieing breed of computer users."I think desktops will be around for a good while yet. The gamer market is pretty big, and gamers like Wintel-type desktops, if only so they can upgrade and generally mess with the hardware, which you can't really do with a laptop. I can see the domestic consumer stores abandoning them in favour of laptops, iPads and so on, if only because they take up less real estate on the shelves, but the more specialised and build-to-spec suppliers should continue to do OK selling them for the foreseeable future. I agree with this statement. Consider when Microsoft was selling Windows 3.1 the ratio of Desktop to laptop would have been around 10:1. Today the ratio is completely turned around.Their will always be a demand for a desktop however the PC gamer is in smaller numbers compared to Console users. We are now very much a niche market, and that is OK with me.Cheers Edited January 11, 201214 yr by ytzpilot Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
