Piracy Activity via Teamspeak

Could just be backups for one member or backups or anyone who did mot get the extended download service. No activation codes or cracks included?
Could be... however,1. Why use Teamspeak as a cloud-based storage system?2. Why is it open to others to download?3. At this level, you should have at least a secondary (or a redundant) HDD in your computer. I have FSX on a totally separate SSD and my payware aircraft stored another HDD. If my primary OS goes down, or I rebuild my computer, FSX is slightly affected.... all I have to do is reactivate. WCA001 (the other Zach) accessed the file. So that eliminated it as being a storage bin.....I notified CLS and other parties involved..... my Teamspeak chatter has blew up with guys telling me they are getting these planes from here. I did what I can do....

Gents,Quick clarification. This is not the TeamSpeak server for SWAVA at www.southwestvirtual.com. Tom, should you have any questions regarding SWAVA (www.southwestvirtual.com) and our practice related to discouraging piracy please don't hesitate to contact me at [email protected].JWJeffrey L. posting this for all to see without clearing it up with southwest virtual was the wrong move to make in my opinion

Personaly, I think it was the only move to post it. 1st of all, if you were to attempt to PM someone about it, it could take months since everyone's pretty busy. Secondly, if you inquire about a missing person to the killer, they'll just move the corpse (well, I know I would). Sure, this could turn out to just be some PMDG helpful uploading SP1b as a mirror or something along those lines (doubtful, but...), but in any case, this got the needed attention it should get. If they turn out to be innocent, then as they say, any publicity is good publicity and people will just shrug it off, but will walk away now hearing of this VA.Just my zero two.

As a member and a CBM for swavirtual.com I can say that this is not our VA. But looking at the screen grab has given me a little more information. The "Zach" that posted this showed that the team speak address for this server is 68.97.129.175 which according to ARIN is registered to cox communications in Atlanta. The address does not have a reverse resolve so it could be possibly assigned to cable modems in the area. Also in the screen grabs it showed that "Zach" has access to the zATL teamspeak server. Doing a quick search of the controller roster there is a "Zach" registered the roster also provides his vatsim ID number. I checked every other southwest VA that i could find. After a little more searching I found this for you good fellas...http://www.tsviewer....iewer&ID=979747Checking out there website http://www.britishva.tk/ and head to the roster. The pilotID's and names match exactly to the ones in the screen grabs..The room names are the same but it seems the VA has changed.. Someone is either pulling the chain or someone is fanning some flames..DJuan Carterswavirtual.comSWA2885

Not actually... they were warned while they were pilots for our VA. I told them not to torrent planes. Even more, I specifically told then never to post payware aircraft on my Teamspeak server. They quit and started their own VA.This is the result....NTRLSUR:I just asked Zach (WCA001) what was their old VA was.Guess what it was? British Airways Virtual. They changed VA to Southwest Virtual Airlines!!!

Their hiding under a psuedonym of sorts by using a british virtual teamspeak registration and their website is www.britishva.tk , and if you go onto their website . the tsviewer shows the name of the teamspeak "Southwest Virtual Airlines" ... I figured it out on my own :D--------------------------------------------Via,

So in the end, the question has to be asked, what did you all get from putting this in here? Less than 5 hours after this was posted, we've figured this whole thing out. So really, what was the point? It wasn't swavirtual.com who did this and we never intend to be a VA who does this - this event was lead by a group of individuals. Also, something that wasn't mentioned in both of my fellow pilots' posts.... that banner up there in both pictures belongs to our VA and didn't we just confirm the people who did this?Take a look for yourself at what my fellow pilots are talking about -http://www.britishva.tk/Ryan Ficklinswavirtual.comSWA1752

Initally, this is posted for the guys at PMDG to take a look at (since hitting the PMDG customer link brings you here). Later I was informed that there was a form that I can fill out. I am aware that this isn't your airline, but if that is your banner, then I suggest that you stop by and have a little talk with them. What do I want in all this?I want to pay for a add-on aircraft that is cheaper than paying for a videocard. Also, I don't want PMDG to fold like other developers in the past.

ya this has nothing to do with the Good southwest airlines. It has to do with the southwest airlines at www.britishva.tk . the owners name is Ryan Klavan the way i know this is cause i looked his VA up on vafinancials's website and it listed his full name next to the owner tab.

Gents,I just wanted to chime-in, if you will, and ensure that it is understood Southwest Virtual Airlines at www.swavirtual.com is not involved in anyway with any of this. First, thanks to Jeff, DJuan and Ryan for jumping in on this topic and representing our VA well. As it was pointed out earlier, our web banner is clearly being used without any permission from the webmaster and/or site owner. Our TS3 file transfer feature has been disabled for well over a year to prevent these very things, as our VA does not promote piracy of any kind. Although piracy is a huge issue, and has been a hot-topic in the media lately, I am solely concerned about the reputation of Southwest Virtual. If anyone has any questions, or would like to bring anything else up for discussion; please email me; [email protected],John E. I really don't mean to be against the opinion of the person that started this thread but I happen to know that this virtual airline is run by young people that would not even think of doing anything illegal, I heard the ceo was just trying to transfer the aircraft to his other computer, it probably didn't even cross his mind about how many people would download it. Though I'm not sure about all of the changing of the airline names or the "banner" but I strongly think that these children did not mean to do anything regarding hurting PMDG or any other companies that were used in this situation, the oldest pilot in this company is only 14! No mean to be harsh and I know this act was illegal, but give the kids a break! (If your wondering where I got this info, it is because I am the ceo's relative.)
