January 25, 201214 yr Hi guys.I was looking at a couple of Carenado aircraft and WOW! They have a lot! Anyway, on FSX, I fly (along with the NGX) A LOT, the C172. I looked at their C172 however it's the "N" version, and I don't like those. Can anyone recommend an aircraft they have, so I can further research it? I was looking to getting a PMDG quality C172 but they are non existent...(BTW, I'm looking here on the Boeing Store and I think I'm going to buy some t-shirts... Never heard of this store before!!! i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB

January 25, 201214 yr Holy crap 50 bucks. But that's a 182.I know. That's her bigger sister. You pay for what you get! Either way, there's no really great payware C172 offered. The default is decent, but I know that's blasphemous! January 25, 201214 yr If you're looking for a PMDG-quality general aviation experience, you want this.Or for a different experience, this, together with this. Some of the Carenados are very enjoyable but none of them will give you the kind of system depth you're looking for.Hope this helps. Though I have yet to purchase the A2A Cub for myself. A2A's 337 is top notch, I don't see why the J-3 would be any different. January 25, 201214 yr A2A's 337 is top notch, I don't see why the J-3 would be any different. The Cub is great - like a living thing. Especially with Urs Burkhardt's repaints. Search under "Burkhardt Piper" in the FSX repaints section of the library. Really well-used airplanes. And then, of course, there's Heidi, the AI passenger, who's a whole trip herself. You have to be in the mood for something that low and that slow. But if you are, there's nothing better. The Katana, as you know, goes into more system depth (not surprising, since it has more systems) and includes a comprehensive walk-around; it lets you do day VFR with help from VORs and GPS. It's a little faster, though not by that much. These two, plus the Dodosim Bell 206B (with full systems simulation, persistent maintenance and custom flight dynamics) are the best things in my low-and-slow GA hangar as of the moment.
