January 30, 201214 yr Each purchase I made from them (two) had a debilitating bug that was addressed months after release. I personally stand by what I say: Carenado produces mostly eye candy. I respect other's opinions, of course. If you like it, you like it!+1 Nice to look at but unrealistic flight dynamics. And I've been flying real GA aircraft for nearly 20 years so I'd like to think I know what feels right.
January 30, 201214 yr Shame because I have done some great flights on my desktop computer with my keyboard. I have fun with it. I'm happy with them. Simon
January 30, 201214 yr Shame because I have done some great flights on my desktop computer with my keyboard. I have fun with it. I'm happy with them.I'm sure loads of people are and I respect the fact that many don't know or particularly care whether the flight dynamics are accurate. If you have fun and get that "immersion factor" we all seek then that is all that matters for many fans of FSX.For me a "Flight SImulator" should do just that - simulate flight. I don't think the Carenado models do that very well. They look great but for some of us pretty pictures aren't enough and at the kind of price software developers now charge I expect accuracy. Not a buggy rushed release with an RC-like flight model.
January 30, 201214 yr Which was the last one you bought?And speaking of pretty picutres :( Edited January 30, 201214 yr by St Mawgan 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base
January 31, 201214 yr As for me, I think the C185, the C208, and the A36 are pretty doggone wonderful and I do have a bit of stick time. Edited January 31, 201214 yr by Syd Weedon Lose not thine airspeed, lest the ground rise up and smite thee.
January 31, 201214 yr just googled 'db' and got 'database,' 'deutche bank' and so on. sorry, not your slang but believe what you must.dev bashing is a common topic here at avsim.constructive critism is fine if you own the new offerings but blanket bashing based on past grudges, not really helping anyone. (i personally don't expect the fidelity of a $30 addon a/c controlled by cheap plastic controllers to necessarily match real life=low standards?) but much luck with your crusade!Fair enough.I'm not sure how stating I had a buggy product [fact] and inaccurate dynamics [fact] ruined my experience [opinion] is "blanket bashing".Also, what you're saying is, for instance (get ready for a run on sentence): If I go to a restaurant I thoroughly do not enjoy two or three times and get food I personally find gross, I shouldn't share my opinion with friends when asked because that would be an injustice to the restaurant? That the experience so far amounts to nothing and my "crusade" is simply to be regarded as db? I mean rb in this case. January 31, 201214 yr Zach, given that the restaurant now has a new chef in the kitchen, your opinion may just possiblybe out of date.. maybe it's time to go back and order another meal, or at least temper your recommendationswith "last time I went there, but I've heard good things lately.." :( Bert
