January 26, 201214 yr Hi, is there a way to get the "minimums", "approaching minimums" and other missing callouts?I really miss them. --------------------- Gabriel Diaz
January 26, 201214 yr They should be there, check your FMC under equipment and hit next page until you see "GPWS" on the top of the display area of the CDU screen. Hit Menu - PMDG Setup - Aircraft - Equipment - then page 8 "EGPWS"You should find what you are looking for in there. January 26, 201214 yr Yeah an if your not to keen on the v2 call out then this can be disabled in the Sound simulation section of the FMC
January 26, 201214 yr i lost mine with all the patches they put out, i only got them back by requesting an updated installation exe and reinstalling the plane. fixed everything Mitch
January 26, 201214 yr how does the "minimus" callout work...for example a 300ft setting for the callout...i never hear them...do they work with the "real" altitude (for example an airport on 1000ft , u would never hear a 300ft minimum callout, but if your airport is for example on 100ft u would hear them) or do they usw the own aircraft altitude? hope u understand what i mean :D If you can´t read it, you can´t fly it. January 26, 201214 yr Sebastian.I think you will have to set up your minimums to hear them called out.Go to the EIFIS settings (far left of the autopilot) selact "Radio" press "RST" (center of that knob) and then look at the nav display and you should see a readout of 50 ft (I am doing this from memory) change it to the value you want and you should hear the call outs when the plane is this height above the runway. You can also set the "BARO" settings there also.Look at the chart for the values.Hope this helps.Dennis Dennis Elliott
January 26, 201214 yr Richard: in a way, yes and no.Sebastian,Basically what Dennis said is correct. Although you generally only use RADIO on CAT II and III approaches (LVP in force - most of these would be autolands in a 737).You would normally use BARO minimums for CAT I ILS approaches (most ILS approaches in relatively good weather) or non-precision approaches. In that case, you need to set AMSL altitude with the Minimums knob. --Peter Fabian
