January 29, 201214 yr Now, let me start by saying that I know this is a totally unrealistic request... i am looking to import either the RXP 430 or 530 into the VC of the 172N. Kinda like if I was to purchase a real one, and want to upgrade or modernize the avionics suite. Has anyone done it in the N model with RXP gauges? The VC is what I am interested in, as the aircraft only has a popup portable in fsx standard. I also would maybe like to upgrade the entire radio stack, if that is feasible...any help would be appreciated
January 29, 201214 yr The problem with this is that the radio gauges have hard wired 3D buttons. Philip Manhart :American Flag: - "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." ~ Plato

The problem with this is that the radio gauges have hard wired 3D buttons ......that can be bypassed by adding a little code that point the 3D variable to be equal to the installed gauge variable. So that when you move the 3D knob it pass a simmilar variable as the added RXP instrument.I have succesfully done that with the Captain SIM Weather gauge that I installed into the Malibu and I am using the 3D knobs to dial weather gauge.Again thanks to the resident guru Bert Pieke who helped me with the process.
January 31, 201214 yr Sorry, but in this case, the 3d buttons are not in the correct locations, so theystick out of the middle of the GPS screen... Bert
