From what I know it is not possible to do that. If you see some pictures on the web on showing that you can be pretty sure that they have only put the camera in this position for the picture and that the cam will move when you move the picture...

Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!

thank you, i think it can be done if the pmdg development team put some code for it in the next ngx service pack. but that is if they want to do it.

One question: Does the real aircraft have such a camera? I know bigger Airbusses have, but I don't know about that in the 737.

Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!

i think It does not come by default, but some airlines make the required modification to do so.1746990.jpg

Some airlines have a camera outside the cockpit door that displays on the lower EICAS since 9/11 and Swiss air had an extra screen to show the avionics bay to confirm a fire after the Swiss air MD11 crash.

After 9/11 FAA and the others increased the security level requirements. It became mandatory to have a reinforced cockpit door, where the cockpit crew can lock/unlock the door from inside. 737 and most of the others have a code protected access. And also if the code is correctly entered, the pilots still have time to decide if unlock the door or deny it (the deny function will remain for a certain time, like 5 minutes, then who wants to enter must re-enter the code again. It is became mandatory to install a CDSS (cockpit door surveilance system) on all passengers plane. In our planes the configuration consist of 3 cameras (one on our CRJs) pointing the cockpit door and the 2 forward access doors. It would be nice to have them on the NGX, for me it is sufficient to add still fictional images, without adding a real virtual cabin view.
