February 19, 201214 yr Hi,Title says it all, already have the Duke, so I'm good there...The first obvious choices would be a Carenado offering, and them maybe something, just not sure what that something else is...Any Help?
February 19, 201214 yr The new offerings from Carenado are good. Check out the Katana X from Aerosoft for something a little different. Matt Wilson
February 19, 201214 yr Author Oops! Forgot to mention I'm looking for a twin piston GA, terribly sorry about that...I'm looking at either the Baron, or the C340 II from Carenado, can anyone recommend either?
February 19, 201214 yr The latest, and in my humble opinion, best offering for a GA piston plane, is the Baytower RV7.If you would like a really well made two seater that handles well, has full IFRinstrumentation, and power to match - this is the airplane to get!Don't be put off by the fact that it is officially "beta6" - Danny Maher is a perfectionistwho wants this airplane to be 100% accurate, rather than the 90% which we haveoften seen at launch time for other manutacturers..http://www.baytower.ca/Go to the Forum for purchase information. Oops! Forgot to mention I'm looking for a twin piston GA, terribly sorry about that...I'm looking at either the Baron, or the C340 II from Carenado, can anyone recommend either? In that case, I would get the C337,, it is the best recent Carenado release. But, get the RV7 as well!! February 19, 201214 yr I have both the Carenado Baron and C340. They look nice but they are kinda bland to me compared to the Duke. Check out the Milviz Cessna 310. They are coming out with a Baron also. Matt Wilson
February 19, 201214 yr +1 for the Carenado C337, if you're looking for a piston twin. I would agree that it's their best to date. Neil Burgess
February 19, 201214 yr Milviz 310 (fantastic sense of flight, very realistic flight dynamics, really good engine loss situation simulation)Carenado 337 (great visuals, excellent view from cockpit, great flight dynamics, support for RXP GPS units) Shane Gavin
February 19, 201214 yr Ok, so I think I'll grab the 337, I have the 210, any difference? The 337 has a better flight model (programmed by bstolle) and obviously is a twin with the unique push/pull engine configuration, which is why the views are much better than a traditional twin. Shane Gavin
February 19, 201214 yr I was going to recommend the 337 also. I love this plane.Bob Officially retired
