Payware Schipol

Featured Replies

As per the Feb 29th thread I'm likely to go for Schipol but is there any other choice than Aerosoft? If not is Aerosoft any good? Thanks :)

From what i´ve heared it seems to be very frame rate hungry.

Best regards, Steffen

There are not alternmatives, Aerosoft's is the only one. It's a nice scenery, but rather FPS intensive.

I believe NL2000 is working on a freeware version...not sure where it stands though.

They have been working on that for ages now. If you want EHAM quickly, waiting for NL2000 might not be the best option.

Thanks all. I'll bear that in mind if I buy. Maybe I should buy a German airport instead, or Kai Tak that I fancied...

Kai Tak is a great buy as are the German Airport series. The Aersoft FSX version of EHAM runs like a dog on my system even with the default cessnas. Oddly the FS9 verison runs great.....

Kai tak is a very good scenery. Even with all those buildings everywhere, I still get really good performance. Definteley a recommended scenery. only problem I always have with kai tak, is that everyrthing is so far away from it. Even airport that I relatively close, like Taipei, Shanghai and Bangkok are a good two hours away. With that in mind. German Airports might be a much better purchase. Everything's nice and close, and the sceneries are anyway very good. Note that they will soon release an update for German Airports 3. 2 was already updated some time ago.

Is/are German Airports kind of the equivalent of UK2000 then? Think I'd go for Frankfurt or Munich (want a big airport!).

Equivalent? Qualitywise? I guess... I find it difficult to really compare them to be honest.
