Those are very good, Aharon. Wardair was a big part of Calgary transportation when I was growing up there in the '70's - nice to see the livery again.

Venustus67 and Pitts2b,Thanks for kind words!!!Pitts2b, I am still looking for perfect Wardair livery on SGA A300B4-200. Since you know Wardair well, would you know what routes Wardair used A300B4-200 and other Airbuses for? I know KLAX was one of the routes but I do not know other routes.Regards,Aharon

Again very fine pic´s, Aharon! :smile:I´ve checked your route on the other forum you´re refering to: That´s a strange one. Why did you fly you from AVE (=Avenal), which is somehere south of San Francisco, up to Reno?

Best regards, Steffen

Thanks for your kind words. As for your question, I dunno. I am just following waypoints. LOL Look at my flight route on http://www.vataware.com/flight.cfm?id=9332441.Regards,Aharon

It is not for me. KLAX airport control tower controllers informed me that this was for some pilot making first appearance on Vatsim and the three follow me vehicles went to my gate by mistake:):):)Aharon

Well, my memory's not THAT good, but a quick search of A-Net reveals that their A300's flew to KFLL, KLAX and KTPA, and their A310's were spotted at Gatwick, Manchester, Schiphol and Prestwick. Should be a good start for some FS routes.

Yep, remember seeing Wardair Canada 747s, DC10s and A310s at Gatwick when I was growing up.

Wardair! I have such fond memories of Wardair.Growing up near YVR, Wardair also had a large presence at YVR (with YYZ being the biggest and the home base) with 747s, DC-10s and A310s. My family flew on Wardair at every opportunity we could when we had to travel to Hawaii. The flights were fun as you'd get colouring books, crayons, a pilots wing pin and I remember the food being out of the world. Bacon wrapped steak on china dinnerware with real utensils and for desert you'd get chocolate dipped strawberries and the kids would get ice-cream!Just before descent, the flight attendants would come around with mints and candies on a silver plate to help with your ears. All of our flights to Hawaii were on the 747s and just once on the A310. Some may not believe me but Wardair operated the 747s out of unusual places like Saskatoon and Victoria. There is a photo of the 747 at Victoria (YYJ) on a.net and they would operate those to Hawaii. It was a sad day in aviation when Wardair was sold to Pacific Western who was folded into CP Air which became Canadian Airlines. The legacy did live on within CP as most of the employees went to CP but the food and silver platter did not. Some also went to Canada 3000, on my last flight with Canada 3000, the cockpit crew were former WDA A310 pilots so we all reminisced about the WDA days. Funnily enough, Air Canada now owns the rights to the Wardair name (since they bought Canadian Airlines) so if one were to buy the name and start up a new airline, you'd have to phone Air Canada.Oh yeah another note, the Ward family is still in the airline industry. Morningstar Air Express which operates as Morningstar Aviation doing the flying for FedEX in Canada (757s, Caravans and ATR 42F) is half owned by Kim Ward, son of Maxwell Ward. Interestingly enough, the name Morningstar is a nickname that Max gave to his wife, Marjorie. Kim wanted to use the name for his FBO business, thus Morningstar Air came to be. On a closing note, Maxwell Ward is still alive and kicking in Alberta these days, he's 90 today and still flying. Cheers,
