March 10, 201214 yr Commercial Member Bryan and Question, I'am having trouble with it understanding AUTO I can say O and it think that's Auto :( but i cannot get it to understand "units" Can I say "next" to skip that part of a check-list and the list still work? David, you need to train your speech recognition more and be sure to pronounce things like a news caster, slow and deliberate.http://support.fs2crew.com/help/manuals/default.aspx?pageid=windows_vista_and_windows_7 Owner, Fulcrum Simulator Controls. fulcrumsim.com facebook.com/fulcrumsimulatorcontrols instagram.com/fulcrumsimulatorcontrols twitter.com/Fulcrum_SC

Can I train the speech recognition system for "specific" words?Solution: Yes, you can use the dictation facility in Windows. First, start 'Windows Speech Recognition' (this is not the FS2Crew Speech Recognition system, but rather the speech recognition system that comes with Windows). Open a text document. Next, dictate a list of words you are having trouble with. Every time the speech recognizer makes a mistake, use the "CORRECT THAT" voice command. This effectively train the speech recognition engine to recognize how you pronounce these words. You may need to dictate and correct the same words multiple times until the recognition rate improves. Thanks Brian...I had assigned "caps lock" as my soft mute key. I'll obviously (correct me if I'm wrong) need to reassign my Vatsim PTT to that same key. That's correct, you'd need to assign your Vatsim PTT key. B. March 10, 201214 yr Hi Bryan, had my first flight with FS2Crew and everything went just fine. The only thing I regret is I took the advantage of the discount coupon, because you deserve every penny. Great job and I enjoy every minute with this product, thanks! V

March 10, 201214 yr For soft mute, I use the grave key ( ` ) next to the 1. It opens up default ATC, and since default ATC is god awful I have no use for opening up the window. The ` key also acts as FSINN PTT. AJ Pongress

March 11, 201214 yr I'm curious to know why people are still using FSINN? Why not just use Squawkbox or the IVAO Pilot Client? The aircraft model animations are better, and it supports dynamic lights for multiplayer aircraft. The biggest reason I use it is because i can run it over my network on my laptop, but still run the control panel program on my FSX machine so I can use voice.Afaik you can't run SB on a remote machine and still use PTT to talk over voice on the FSX machine.I don't fly in IVAO so I don't need to use their client. March 11, 201214 yr Hey Bryan! This is by far the coolest thing I've tried in a long time for flight simulator! The first time I tried FS2Crew was for the Level-D 767 for FS9 and I still think it revolutionized the way I use flight sim. However I stopped using it for some odd reason I can't explain, and I never really used it again. I think I got tired of the button thing. Not really sure. Then the NGX came along and the second I found out that there was going to be an FS2Crew version for it, I was already determined to get it when it was released. I've talked to my computer a lot of times before haha! Like "Gear Up" etc. but always had to do it myself. I was also aware of earlier/other FS2Crew voice versions, but thinking to myself, "how good can it be? It's just a computer!". But I must admit that, sitting with the online Voice Commands & Voice Checklist, the Flows Checklist and my printed out Normal Checklist in my hand, that I received with my manuals from PMDG, this went very smooth only with little errors from my side, and nothing I couldn't figure out after briefly looking in the manuals!I've never used a voice version before, but I tested it out on two flights. Going from Oslo to Copenhagen, getting the feeling of the flows. And then a second flight from Copenhagen to Innsbruck for the Visual 08 approach and it was very smooth. Flows going well and all, but only a few times it didn't register what I said, and that was due to my own mistake, either speaking to fast or not saying the commands correctly! Conclusion of the two flights: I already feel comfortable using it in a congested airspace online! So overall, I think you just revolutionized the way I'm going to use flight sim, again! Well done! And I'm so much looking forward to you implementing non-normal checklists :( (hopefully) :( It would add a ton to the sim.Take care! Thomas Danielsen - FAA Commercial Pilot, JAA ATPL

March 11, 201214 yr Author Commercial Member Hi Enzo,Damien is writing a tutorial now for Button and Voice... he'll be done soon... it's mainly to help the new people.... the experienced FS2Crew users hardly even need the manual...What do you mean by "Change Keys FSX"?Thanks, B.
