What airport is the biggest frame rate hog?

Featured Replies

Seattle has been a killer, the worse for me, although it is still flyable, even with 100% UT2 taffic. However, there must be something there that multiplies the CPU workload. The ORBX day/night switcher helped, but still.Kind regards,

What Free Flight load-up settings(plane, weather, airport, time) provide the most stressful(lowest) frame rate when you immediately enter the game on the ground?
KSEA, dusk, heavy thunderstorm or so, looking towards the city. Not as nearly as taxing as some addons though...

I'd have to go with JFK, LGA, KEWR . with traffic easily. Not only do you have the highest detailed city in FS (NYC) but 3 of the most detailed airports also, with AI in memory for over 100 miles, you can have hundreds in memory, with most around those airports which are only around 10-20 miles away.

Thanks

I'd agree it is probably Seattle, there is a lot going on in the surrounding area with changes in land and water, and with the range settings maxed out, that includes a lot of surrounding airports, traffic and often some intersting weather changes. Of course it's a breeze compared to some add-on airport sceneries. This is where an I7 2600 shows its worth.Al
