March 11, 201214 yr To keep things even, lets assume vanilla FSX, i.e. no addons.Assume all sliders/boxes in Setting are set to max..What Free Flight load-up settings(plane, weather, airport, time) provide the most stressful(lowest) frame rate when you immediately enter the game on the ground?
March 11, 201214 yr If you hadn´t said "no Addons" I would have answered that the default O´Hare scenery with all runways enabled, about 85% of WAI traffic and the NGX will bring my system down to it´s knees. I had constantly 8 FPS upon a night approach. But back to topic. If you want to check out the FSX abilities of your system, be sure to use this tool here: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/329116-fsxmark11/. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h

This was a recent post, actually. But instead of digging it up, the common answers were:Seatle, London, and JFK. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules

March 11, 201214 yr Seattle - 36, as it points you towards the Seattle skyline.Bob Officially retired
March 11, 201214 yr Seattle, easy. It's not exactly the airport but the airport + surrounding area - it's still slow on my powerful rug, and even worse with orbx. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
March 11, 201214 yr Yep, Ryan is right. Once you are airborne you have Boeing field about 30 deg off your starboard and Seattle right in front with the port and skyline. It really nails your CPU. It has been a test bed for many.Bob Officially retired
March 11, 201214 yr Author "Active Runway". Which will always put you on the same runway. Settings? Everything MAXED!No, read my OP. I'm asking what airport, weather, time and plane.
March 11, 201214 yr I would say dusk. As far as weather, anything that creates the most clouds without affecting the visibility distance too much. If you are talking default plane, I have not flown one of those since FSX came out.Hope that helps.Bob Officially retired
March 11, 201214 yr Author Hmmmm...I don't see a runway 36 listed at Seattle. Only 16, 34, helipad and active runway.
March 11, 201214 yr Hmmmm...I don't see a runway 36 listed at Seattle. Only 16, 34, helipad and active runway. The ones that face the city of Seattle. :Doh:What are we getting at here? ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
March 11, 201214 yr Hm...Maybe KSEA runway 34, dusk, that weather theme, heavy thunderstorms, and (if we are including Acceleration) the FA-18?
