March 11, 201214 yr Hi,I was trying to find a place to park in the absence of ATC and found myself confronted with this. What's going on here?Jim F.
March 11, 201214 yr I've been on the ground there as well wondering what was going on with the paint. Jason BocheDelta Virtual Airlines Assistant Chief Pilot, B767-300
March 11, 201214 yr Those are parking spots for some very big birds. Must be some on the way, don't you think?Kind regards,
March 11, 201214 yr Those are "drive-through" parking spots. In other words, you don't have to push back out of the parking spot, just go down the aisle and pull into the spot then pull out into the next aisle over when you're ready to go. I count 8 spots, actually. 2 where the nose would point North/South and 6 where the nose would point East/West (assuming the top of this picture is North). You're on an aisleway that runs North/South. From where you're at if you make an immediate left you would be pulling into one of the East/West spots. Then you would pull out into the next aisle over which runs North/South when you're ready to leave.- Gary Letona
March 11, 201214 yr Those are parking spots for some very big birds. Must be some on the way, don't you think? The fact that MS modelled things that have to do with big birds doesn't mean they will give us big birds... It would be very odd to leave out all the big birds stuff out of airports, even if you only modelled the airport for a GA sim.The next DLC will be Alaska: no real big birds place either. A real GA addon that will be. For the moment Flight is a pure GA sim and I am curious when (and if) that will change... Adding big birds to the game involves adding a LOT of other things too (AP, ATC, etc.) and that may take a while.I hope I am wrong, though. Although when I look at the current performance, I'd almost hope MS Flight stays pure GA...!
March 11, 201214 yr Which airport is that at? We can go on Google Earth to see how realistic those lines are. Jehan Kateli
March 11, 201214 yr funny you guys all think they'll be no "big birds".... remember the general public has a fascination with flying big "jumbos" just as much as they do little things.... and remember MS has always provided jets in the past, although simple ones at that. I believe we'll get one eventually, but a simple one...like with systems and autopilots of the past..just basic... but as long as it'll fly realistically as the little ones now we have, I'm excited.....the default aircraft finally look good now, with accurate dimensions and sizing of parts...that wasn't always the case!
