SP1C - Ouch! (Graphics problem)

Featured Replies

I had a similar issue much earlier (prior to SP1c), that happened only with one livery. Problem was resolved by reinstalling the livery.Rushad E.

Thanks for the suggestion Rushad.I've just deleted the old ones , and reinstalled all the liveries. Unfortunately, it's made no difference.Toni.

You wouldn't be using that Shader Mod by that ******* guy would you? That looks like an issue I had after a while of using it.

That looks like just pure and simple missing or corrupted textures. I'm hoping you've made a support ticket about the issue. 9 hours and counting since your first post.

What resolution are you running windows at. It look spretty darn big to me. I'm inclined to think that is a GFX issue. Look at your GFX card settings.Wycliffe

Hi WycliffeIt's not the graphics card (or driver etc.) as FSX and every other add-on (including aircraft) look fine. This is definitely something that's occured as a result of installing the SP1C updates.Toni.

toniIts odd that you arethe only person reporting this issue. Make sure your runtime libraries are up to date then donwload and reinstall.net4 I cant think of anythhing else as I have never seen this issue before. Someone up above asked if you had unstalled The NGX before doing the upgrade to SP1c, there is no need to do that. SP1c installs seamlessley over your full installation. They clearly didn't read the information from PMDG.Wycliffe

Guys, just a quick note, for screenshots there's a dedicated FSX function that does that without the Print Screen hassle. The 'V' key (by default) will snap the screen and automatically dump out a BMP into your Pictures Library in a Flight Sim folder. As far as the issue goes, anyone think HIMEMFIX might be the issue? Looks like it's trying to dump tasks.

To get back to SP1b, uninstall your 737 installation reinstall the base pack then download the sp1b upgrade from the main PMDg webpage and bingo install.Hopefully you will be back to your previous state with no graphical issues.Wycliffe

With the latest Catalyst 12.3 I had similar issues, except my whole screen turned black (audio kept running). So I reverted back to previous drivers.Good luck!

I've installed SP1C (twice!) and it's taken out half of the cockpit graphics on the virtual cockpit - on all the planes (6700 as well as 8900).Looking towards the front is completely black, although I can look out of the side windows OK. Also, everything around the dials/instrument displays is also plain black.(No, I'm not flying at night!)Has anyone else experienced this and/or is there a fix? If not, is it possible to go back to SP1B where everything was fine? Thanks for any help!Toni.

hi KyleHIGHMEMFIX=1 (in the Graphics section) is in the FSX.CFG file. Are you suggesting that I remove this entry? Thanks,Toni.

Nope! It should definitely be in there. It just looked somewhat like the comp was trying to shed load, and HIMEMFIX combats that.
