March 15, 201214 yr Is it good compared to Microsoft Flight? My understanding of Flight is that it's free, but addons cost. With FSX, the program costs money, but there are lots and lots of addons, freeware and payware. In the end, I think you'll have a lot more to work with in FSX. The reviews of Flight are not good and freeware additions to Flight will probably never happen. I don't have Flight, but from what I've read, it covers (barely) Hawaii. FSX covers the world. It seems like a pretty simple choice. If you go with freeware addons, FSX won't cost you more than the initial cost of the program. If you go with Flight, it's free, but any addons will have a price tag. My Freeware Sceneries
March 17, 201214 yr I am sure you will love it quangvu45.Be sure and read up on the tips on both installing, and tweaking, FSX in the two links I provided you in my earlier reply in this thread. They might give you a good headstart at least in getting your system set up to run FSX the best that it can...As far as comparing FSX to the newly released Flight, the really are two very different programs, and while they both at the core simulate the act of flying an airplane, they both do very different things. Flight was developed to start from the ground up, think of it as taking an old 1500 page novel from years ago, and rather than continuing the journey from it in say a sequel, it is completely re-written from the beginning with a blank sheet of paper, from scratch. How the story develops in this new one, as compared to the story the first one progressed into over the years, remains to be seen and at this time is probably unknown to anyone.By developing and releasing Flight though, MS is trying to appeal to a much larger audience, than previous versions of the MSFS franchise. But the core product - the intitial download - is free, so while you will have FSX it certainly would cost you nothing to check out Flight. Think of it as a demo.As far as crash effects/explosions - well, MS with all their franchise of civilian flight sims, have chosen not to really model that. Sure if you hit the ground hard enough for it to be considered a crash, you will get a message to that effect. But you are not going to see explosions, flying debris, fire raging - things that you might see an other types of games.I personally do not mind this - for me simulating a civilian airliner crash complete with fire, explosions, flying debris, like what is seen in the video above, does nothing for me, in fact turns my stomach really, as that then is simulating innocent men, women and children, losing their lives in a horrible tragedy. But that is just me...Welcome to the world of FSX, and get prepared for many hours of fun and enjoyment - including many hours of learning, advancing, tweaking, etc. FSX is not just a flight game, it is a complex flight simulator that one could truly consider a " study sim"...Have fun, Don B

March 18, 201214 yr Commercial Member How many times can you install FSX? Is there a limit? No, there is no limit. Though if you install it very many times on multiple computers or so you can get your activation code deactivated and you have to call Microsoft to reactivate it. However I have installed my FSX on many computers and reinstalled on them many times without getting my license deactivated.Anyway if that happens its probably easier just to download crack to get around it. After all its product that you have bought and you should be allowed to install it on as many computers as you want.
