This week's challenge comes from one of our development engineers, Dustan Morgan: "Ever seen the movie Top Gun? Snap a screenshot of the interior of another player's aircraft while flying in the mirror formation (one plane flies inverted over the other so they are canopy-to-canopy)."

I don't have a plane that can go inverted without flaming out. haha. That challenge must be meant for the p51.

Hm, should still be possible in the Stearman. I mean, you only need to do it for a second or so. Or you need both planes to be in a nose dive...

Oh no, strictly speaking and according to the top gun movie that stunt must be done horizontally with the plane above rolled inverted and stay there for at least 10 sec.And i have actually just tried to do it with Stearman, it cant be done. Engine flame out too. lol

I don't get it either - Sometimes I can Quick Match over and over and keep getting the same room with the same one or two people-

Hummm, I have the Vans and have been known to go inverted from time to time...P.S. Loved the video from the FastCheetah! Luckily, I didn't spit Cream of Wheat onto my monitor.

Sorry :( - I hate doing that as I know, at least on my system, it can cause a stutter - I think I was looking for someone at that time. . .But still, kept getting the same rooms over and over. Wish we could create a room, post a description of events with it, and when looking for a room be presented with a list of available rooms. . .but, it is what it is

I also just realized why that first video sounded so familiar. I was flying around one of the other islands in the same lobby doing cargo runs just watching & listening trying to figure out what the heck they were doing. You can see me drop out at about 9:17 in the vid. I thought they were just messing around ramming each other on the tarmac at Hilo like a lot of the free-version players tend to do.And it wasn't a problem, Rush. It was just me and one other person in the room you were jumping in and out of, so the stutter wasn't noticeable to me. I was near the end of a 250 mile cargo run that I started in another lobby, so I was stuck with someone else's time & weather (16kt crosswind at PHKO and the sun had set about 20 minutes into my flight). I almost crashed on my approach trying to type "2 Pomeranians and a Labradoodle" before you bailed the last time, but you got out before I could hit enter.

You need another pilot to do that mirror stunt together...the one above go inverted. The limited views in MS Flight make it very difficult to perform that stunt as u cant look around like TrackIR. I have tried with my friend and failed. This is a real tough challenge. Let me know if you manage to do it with your RV. Cheers.

I do that a lot, but for me it's usually 22222222222222 and 888888888888 from where I've remapped the trim to the number pad. :o

I was hoping to find someone to be the plane below, running Fraps and they can shoot outside view. I pretty much stick with the gauges when inverted, as going against the "norm" when flying and then trying to watch the world go by can be, er... troublesome.But I got the inverted down low award and now I'm wondering if that qualifies me for membership into the "serious simmers" club??
