Not as a pilot, only jumpseat

They video look photo realistic - meaning like shot with a video camera with poor contrast capability. It looks very unrealistic if meant to represent human vision. Unless you look directly at the sun human vision rarely sees white skies like that since our eyes have an extreme range of contrast.@Johan_Dees:As for a monitor profile there are many ways to make one. Either just tune your TV or monitor directly (if it has the ability to store custom settings), otherwise you need to use color management software and make a color profile. A third option is to create and save a profile in NVidia control panel if you use NVidia cards.

Lol do you because there are more then you think floating around here with RLW experience ;-)What his FSX or FS2004 skill has to do as comment is beyond me too...We disagree here It's not even close lol ;-)But then again I have to add if you like the settings, just go for it enjoy and to achieve the same results, why don't ask the poster of the video instead of guessing?

That video is edited with after effects or Sony Vegas.I don't bother looking at those enchanced FSX videos anymore because FSX even with ENB will never look like that.Just a tease!

Even the human eye has 'limitations'. Trying going into a dark room for an hour and keeping the lights off. Then as soon as you can walk outside into bright sunlight.Or, have the lights on at night time, brightly. Then suddenly turn them all off. See how long it takes for your eyes to adjust.

Sure. That is why cabin lights in the aircraft are turned off before landing so passaengers and crew can get better night vision in case of an emergency. But the blown out highlights shown in the video you posted are not natural looking at all. They are a cool effect though and makes it look like it was shot with a poor video camera.

Even a GOOD video camera would do that. Haven't you seen Die Hard? In the movie they use back lighting for the telecasting. That is real life. And a $500000 video camera would still look the same in the cockpit. You will only see white bright light from outside if the camera is getting its light levels from the cockpit panels.I do know what I am talking about.

The video in the 1st post does not look realistic at all. I have plenty of hours in 152's and 172's and I have never seen the sky or clouds look blown out like this even on the brightest summer or winter day.It so bright yo can't even make out the clouds!Way overdone ENB setting for sure

To me, the fs9 video was awesome. The camera was a little blurry but that somewhat added to the realism. Someone who did not know this was a simulator, even some pilots I believe, might very well think it was a RW flight, if you told them it was before they viewed it. It looked great to me.Bob

Yep, the FS9 video almost fooled me!

Yes you are absolutley right. When the constrast range is extreme no video camera will be able to cover the entire range without blowing higlights or blocking up shadows. Newer HDR digital video cameras are changing that though. When you sit in the cockpit and the light outside is very bright the cockpit becomes very dark, but still, I've never seen blown out highlights outisde on an overcast day.

Haha, the only thing that convinced me it was a simulator was the plane taking off when he was on short finals.Bryan.

That was a little questionable for sure. Great video. Funny thing, I was looking at the video but my eyes kept looking at the wipers. They were scared and weathered, and they to just looked real. I know that sounds like a little thing, but the mind try's to make sense of what the eyes are seeing, and the wipers looked real LOL. I was convinced.Bob
