Hi there,I have never been a fan of the fan textures, and I think they are below par to the rest of the model [especcially the interior].I am ready for the sh/t to hit the fan, but does anyone on the forum agree that the textures are a little basic? Is there any possibility of a makeover?Alex

They're from real photos we took right in front of the engines - what do you want exactly?

The textures just seem to be low quality, [this is when running not when cut-off].Pixelated, you don't agree?

Probably a limitation of flight simulator. For me, its about the flight model and cockpit design. If you are only concerned with the fan blades in motion, maybe the NGX is not the product for you.Probably a limitation of flight simulator. For me, its about the flight model and cockpit design. All I can say is that, out of the 11 or so Airtran and Southwest 737's I've seen in my life I don't think ever I've seen the spiral pattern on the spinner actually fully intact. Is that part of the paintkit? Could that be changed? All I can say is that, out of the 11 or so Airtran and Southwest 737's I've seen in my life I don't think ever I've seen the spiral pattern on the spinner actually fully intact. I think Ryans answer should be enough for you. If you having pixallated textures you might want to look at your graphics cards. I once saw a ltter written in The Guardian paper from someone who complained about the colour of the paving outside his house, was that you by any chance :)If the fan blades are what is causing you most concern I think you shouold get a job in programming and have a go yourself.WycliffeI think Ryans answer should be enough for you. Thank you for your,,, reply.Listen, I am just commenting on an area that I don't believe to be up to the rest of the standard, I am prepared for the trolling to follow, but I thought I would make a topic anyway after talking to many folks about it, who agreed. If I said the other textures are absolutely fine, why would you suggest its my graphics card? No need to suggest I need to programming I am a consumer, thats it.ChaStrict Standards: Declaration of group_forum_breadcrumb::sendOutput() should be compatible with that of output::sendOutput() in /opt/webdocs/newsite/forum/hooks/group_forum_breadcrumb_d29bf565a59f776807044fd19e49258a.php on line 107

AlexFirst let me apologise if my post sounded a little terse. Not my intention in fact i did place a smiley atthe end of the major line but clearly without the snazzy graphical smilies it might have been missed. My poor attempt at humour has backfired.I will check the fanblade textures later this evening when I do a flight. I must say it's not something that has leapt out at me and shouted woah this is wrong. Pwerhaps I like to concentrate more on the flying and systms rather than the fan blades.all the bestWycliffe

To be honest, I agree with Alex. And there's nothing wrong with my graphics cardTo be honest, I agree with Alex. And there's nothing wrong with my graphics card

I think the texturing is okay, what i don't like (and that's the only thing i don't like in the exterior model) is the animation. It's not realistic, too slow. Check iFly's fan animation, it looks like it's *really* spinning fast like a real engine does. This is no product war i'm trying to start here, just an example as i've never seen any other jet with such realistic fan animation.
