Airbus X

Featured Replies

Have any of you good folks managed the Aerosoft Airbus X working in P3D?I copied the 5 various Aircraft folders and the Aerosoft folder from FSX and it does loads up fine but the radios and MCDU don't light up.I also copied over the Gpsmodule.dll to the Modules folder and added it in the P3D DLL.xml, but still no dice.ThanksDaveEdit - I've just seen a tip in the pinned aircraft thread so I'll try that - sorry!(mods - please delete if you like)

Thanks to the tip I found in the a/c thread I have got the AP, MCDU and radios to work.In short you need to use a tool like Notepad++ to remove the following line:!DOCTYPE Gauge SYSTEM "../gauges.dtd"From all the XML files in each of the Airbus panel folders (including subfolders). It's fairly straightforward to use the Find in all Files option to replace it with a blank line.I will elaborate further if you like but I would like to get that throttle working first.Dave

Thanks Dave. I managed to have it working removing these DOC lines of each xml file. Now my last problem is that i can't have the thottle woking properly..... It works in all aircrafts including the NGX but in the Airbus X, it goes straight to reverse thrusts when i go down to 10-20% power... Any idea ?Thanks

too much, too soon....

No luck I'm afraid, the throttle just doesn't want to know, and I've tried all the tricks I know.Best thing to do would be to add your voice here:http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/49292-airbus-x-extended/And tell Mathijs that it would be really great if the upcoming Extended version was compatible and had a P3D installer - I already have left a message of encouragement.

From Mathijs in the Aerosoft forum

Right now it works fine in P3D and we hope to keep it that way!

Indeed rather encouraging. :)

Mathijs really seems to be warming to P3D so hopefully we should see some more dual-sim products from Aerosoft.

About the Airbus X Extended he says:

"...it will run fine in FSX and P3D (our favorite FSX at this moment) under Windows 7/64"

I have my Airbus X working perfectly in Prepar3D throttles and all. I would like to be able to uplad the xml files for you guys so I will ask permission on Aerosoft and see what they say. But if its a no then do what this forum says BUT dont edit the xml files in A321 IAE-panel-Test or the FData folder. I believe those are the files that mess with the throttle so dont touch them and youll be good to go because I am and I will upload a video to youtube provin it. Good luck guys and happy flying.

Could you please PM me with your method. I would be most grateful.

Yes, please share, it'll keep us going until the Extended version comes out! :)

I give up. In spite of much kind advice I have never found that line in any panel folder. Even in the ECAM etc folder there are textures, and XML files, in none of which can I find a line like you quote. In fact I don't appear even to have the other two folders that you warn us against changing.

No risk on my part of changing anything.

Please a click by click or similar would be a kindness to humanity.

Or should I just wait until the Extended arrives with a proper P3 installer?

KInd regards,

Ian McPhail

Ok guys I'm glad to help first download notepad++ then go into the panel folders and find the xmls and open them with notepad++ in some of the XML files it has that line I mentioned. Not all but some of them. It is the second line in the XML files. I will try and upload my XML files to simviation and post the link here. Or I will make a YouTube video and post the link here too. I'm most likely to do the YouTube video. Will upload soon ok :) very happy to help. Give me 30 minutes and I'll have it ready.
