March 27, 201214 yr I've reported this problem before and have now tried a half dozen airports but this continuing problem still occurs with the MD 11. On final, I'm always just to the right of the runway. I've reloaded the updated ILS data, double checked the data on the FSC flight plans, made sure the current navigraph is active, basically followed the tutorial guidelines, but the problem still exists. This does not happen on any other PMDG aircraft (or anyone else's either).I've had some suggestions on a prior question but I'm still looking for a solution to this problem. Not fun landing in the dirt next to a runway.Jack Fentress
March 27, 201214 yr If you can set "use FSX runway heading" in the MD-11 you need to uncheck that! Is your course heading set correctly? AFCAD? Yours trulyBoaz FraizerCopenhagen, Denmark
March 28, 201214 yr Author Boaz.........The course headings for the runway have been set correctly."Use FSX runway heading". I don't recall ever seeing that little thing. Where is it located?Jack Fentress
March 28, 201214 yr Commercial Member You wont find that option in the MD11. I take it you have run the flight1 registry tool? Rob Prest
March 28, 201214 yr Author I have run the registry tool. How would I be able to tell for sure?.........and where would I find the runway heading option?Jack F.
March 28, 201214 yr Commercial Member As mentioned, the runway heading option is part of the NGX, you won't find it on the MD11. Rob Prest
March 28, 201214 yr JackI had this same problem and solved using the FSX Registry Repair, from Flight1.http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=library Best regards Cristiano Mueller
March 31, 201214 yr Be sure to "run as admin" if you have Vista/W7; otherwise it's not allowed to fix the registry by the security nanny. Dan Downs KCRP
March 31, 201214 yr Sounds like RW navdata VS FSX runway data. the magnetic headings have changed since FSX release. ArDee
March 31, 201214 yr It could be the magnetic variation in your navigraph data vs what's in the sim. Short of changing every airport manually with an editor, always defer to what's in the sim. I double check all my ILS frequencies and heading with Flightsim Commander. Alternatively, you can pull up the FSX map, and check them there.I did have the same problem you had (approach mode not lining up with the centre line), and it was fixed by running Flight1's registry fix tool.
March 31, 201214 yr I did have the same problem you had (approach mode not lining up with the centre line), and it was fixed by running Flight1's registry fix tool. Can someone explain connection between FSX registry entries and app lining up with center line? tnx Lj. March 31, 201214 yr I don't know the ins and outs of it. I read about the problem I was having in this forum, and figured it was worth a shot. Low and behold, after running the fix tool, haven't had the problem since....
March 31, 201214 yr The registry entry is used by the pmdg code to find local mag variation, simple. Dan Downs KCRP
