I wanted to fly using the NGX making a fuel stop at Gander but they don't take more bookings, all full:-(

So, who says you need to book. I missed the booking period for CTP but Im still going to fly it, I doubt they will kick you off. Im flying Biringham to Boston.

You can of course fly wherever you you want, whenever you want on VATSIM, even during an event like Cross The Pond. You might experience delays, but you can fly between non event airports

Flying 737-700. Keep a close eye on the CTP website, sometimes people drop their booking, so you can jump in. yesterday mornign for me there were 0 bookings open, but in the afternoon there were 7 open. So keep a close eye on it. (#edit: at the moment, 1 flight is available! (0829Z))I have one question though regarding SELCAL. How is that going to work on squawkbox? Can anyone explain, or point me in the right direction?Thanks!

I'd love to do CTP one day. It must be the biggest thrill to plan and execute a great CTP flight. Sadly I have no time right now.

you dont need to make a booking to take part. you only need to book if you want a particular departure time. You might have to wait a while for them to get to you. I did it back in 2008 and just turned up with my Pmdg 747 and it was all fine.

Damn - gotta go to a wedding out of town this weekend. Does anyone have a line on future events like this that have been announced? Doesn't have to be Atlantic, any pacific stuff or really anywhere would be cool. Crushed I am missing it.

I will participate CTP, but I won't cross the pond. 737 can't make it, and I don't want to stop in Reykjavik or Gander so I'm departing KJFK to KCLE or KDTW just to experience the delays... B) I love simulating real life traffic! :( As for the booking:No, you don't need to book. Like Johan said, you will experience delays (!!!! :( :( B) ) but who cares? This is for fun. Someday I want to try the famous KJFK-EGLL route.
