ORBX P3D SBSLs now free plus ORBX 44% off sale.

Folks there is another thread started yesterday on this same topic in the Unofficial Orbx support forum.http://forum.avsim.net/topic/368068-sbsls-are-free-now/page__pid__2321325#entry2321325However, it is not about bashing Orbx, but about the consequences of their recent decision.

Maybe they should re-think no more sales because folks save pennies for sales which then creates income "spikes" for us." Me personally would have never bought Australia or any of it's airports if it weren't for sales as I don't fly there much. In that case it wouldv'e been a total loss of income on my part for them.Just to say some income is better then none from potential customers so they really should re-think that strategy.

Ok, I was pretty sure that Orbx said it was the only and last sale way back in January this year. Infact I just went through the forums at Orbx and the original stickied post has long gone but one user posted a query about the last ever sale.Taken directly from the Orbx forum posted on January 8th by John Venema."One more final sale in 2012 then never again. We're doing a bunch of stuff through 2012 to simplify our business model and this is just one element of thatThere are many reasons for the "no more sales" decision; one of them being the need to smooth revenue spread over the 12 months of the year instead of seeing folks save pennies for sales which then creates income "spikes" for us."So like I said, take what you will from that, but I will definitely be stocking up on some addons, not many though but better than none at all.Craig .
that is 100% true, but we will see.. I am not so sure about "no sales never again..." never is a very long time...!!for me it is just another sales gimmick to get everybody to digg in and get as much as they could... just to found another sale in a couple of months..ORBX also said they will never make P3D SBSL's for free... and now? the need for money makes people do crazy stuff irrespective of what they said yesterday

2W3 Swanson (latest release) not included in the sale I see. Had to have a look after the Xmas fiasco.

Arnie....if it ain't broke, don't fix it...

Mmh, bought FTX Australia pack. First time I buy something from ORBX as I mostly fly outside USA and Australia, but as I could make whole continent of Australia to look good only for 45 euros its worth it. Probably will start doing some more airliner flights to Australia now...

Is there one FTX Australia option, or do you have to enable one region at a time (red blue etc)?I bought YMML a long time ago, it says it's version 2 now. When I go to download from my account, it says 150 in the title. Does that mean I have to buy it again to get new v2?

There is one option.

Yup, all under the option of Australia. And if you have New Zealand South Island, that becomes Oceania, which is AUS and NZ all under the one button.
