April 3, 201214 yr Bryan, Just a doubt upon reading some other threads in the forum. I did select the option to load the 2D panel by default in FSX, but when I load the 737 it starts with the 2D panel (with all instruments streched and messed up, by the way) and, after a couple of seconds, it switches to VC automatically, without me touching anything. I don't mind about the 2D because I only fly VC, but may that cause problems with FS2Crew or is it ok because it starts with 2D, even if it turns into VC by itself? I haven't noticed strange things in FS2Crew, even if I just did a quick flight. Thank you. James Goggi
April 3, 201214 yr Commercial Member Hi James, I think EZDOK automatically switches people from 2D to VC. Not sure why the developer programmed it that way, but apparently that's what it does. But so long as the 2D loads first, you should have no problems. Best, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
April 3, 201214 yr Hey Bryan. I also have ezdok with trakir5. I have done numerous test loads in varying configurations and have come up with the only logical conclusion. FS2 and EZdok have some sort of conflict. I can load a flight from any airport, any gate, with or without REX or FS real weather, any livery; If I try to load the flight with FS2 for the NGX enabled, I am unable to move between any of my ezdok cameras. Its frozen in pilots view of the VC. Trakir still works. If I disable FS2 and reload the flight, (again from any airport, livery, weather, etc.) the flight loads just fine and I have the use of all my cameras. Once I reenable FS2 and try the sim again, no cameras. Don't want to come right out an say its definitely FS2 for the NGX but after hours of testing these are the results. By process of elimination I only lose the use of my ezdok camera system when FS2 NGX is enabled. Can you help? So When FSX has initially loaded I shut ezdock down, select default flight, then load the ngx in 2D then start up ezdock Since doing that I have no issues here. Paul Humphries
April 3, 201214 yr Thanks for the reply Paul. I remember reading in the NGX manual where it explicitly states to not load the NGX from any other aircraft. I don't know if this is a Win7 x64 thing or not. However, I have just discovered a strange 'connection' between EZdok, the NGX configurator and FS2 NGX. Whenever I install new liveries I have to run the EZdok configurator to 'read' the new liveries. From that point I have to re-run the NGX configurator. Once I do that and start up FSX, the EZdok camera system works just fine with one semi-minor issue. I have no FS2 click spot in the VC. If I exit out of the sim and disable/reenable the FS2 then reload FSX again, I have the click spot back but then my EZdok cameras are messed up again. If I exit the sim yet again and rerun the NGX configurator I will again have the EZdok cameras working but be back to no click spot for FS2. So, as a workaround I leave it as it is, with no click spot, open the FSX menu, open views/instruments, select FS2 main panel, lock the panel and move it to my secondary screen. This seems to work as I've already done a short flight from KLAS to KLAX. I don't in any way pretend to have a clue why these three systems don't want to work together but if all I have to do is suffer through opening the main menu to have FS2, then I count myself blessed. If anyone else has the same issue I hope my solution helps them. If someone has an actual 'cure' for this issue, please post it. Thanks. Eric. April 3, 201214 yr From my experience I use NGX starting up in VC mode, EZdok and FS2Crew from RTM to SP1 through all the betas without any issues in starting up in VC mode directly. At this point I see no reason for changing that. Bryan? Eric Bocaneanu ROvACC Director

However, some people reported that they have to start in the 2D or they will get the FO saying "are you sure about that". Computers can be like people... they don't all act the same way. So if starting in the VC works for you, great. But if you ever have issues, make sure you start in the 2D before switching to the VC. B.
